if the tropical is the same as the palace, when you go into your room you put the key into a slot to start up the electric, you can then turn the air conditioning on and off as you wish, providing the balcony doors are shut properly. we paid a £10 deposit to get an extra key so that sometimes we could leave the air conditioning and the fridge turned on when we were out of the room and it would be cool to go back to. however it really didn't take long to cool the room down if it had been off and sometimes we turned it off cos we got a little too cold.

Hi - does anyone have suggestions for a good, reliable but cheap car hire from Dalaman Airport?

We'll be arriving in the middle of the night 3am on the 25th July

Thanx

Hello All

Is there a kettle and fridge in the rooms at the Palace ?

Thanks

Hi,

No kettle in room, we took a travel one and took cups up to our room. There is a fridge, just make sure it is not full of the mini bar stuff, they will empty if it is and you can use for your own bits!

Safes are free, just get the person who takes your bags to the room to reset it, if it is closed so you can put in your own code. If the safe door is open you can just read the instructions and reset yourself. It is usually in the wardrobe.

Car hire- To be honest you may as well get the coach from the airport as it really isnt far and you will be first drop off I should think or poss the coach will only go to the Pegasos, thats what happened with us, I wouldn't waste your money!! Also at 3am you may get lost as I didn't think it was straight forward roads to get to hotel.

We went on the mud bath trip we booked at the hotel and my boy was free because of his age, six yrs and under went free however on the mud bath trip it meant he didn't get a kids lunch if I remember he either shared ours or they gave him chips, sorry was last year and I just remember being really annoyed that they would not feed him.

We asked for a packed lunch the day we left and took it to the airport as the Buger King in the airport was reported to be VERY expensive, one guy in the airport had spent about £25 on food for his family and that wasnt even all meals!! I suggest a packed lunch!

i had read here that the rooms didn't have kettles but that you can hire them for £3 a day, so i took my own, i do like a drink when i first wake up in the morning.

the fridge in our room had 4 bottles of water in when we arrived, which we used and were never charged for. there was a laminated sheet showing the various items you could order for the fridge if you wanted to, we didn't bother, just topped up the water bottles from the various coolers dotted around the hotel.

Note to First Choice - Pegasos Palace needs: a mattress for every sunbed, kettles in every room, a cashpoint

we didn't have to pay for the water that was there initially, but had we ordered anything else to be put in the fridge yes we would have had to pay. The laminated menu sheet had a selection of packages you could order, I'm afraid I don't know any of the prices as I knew we wouldn't order any of it so I didn't look too closely.

hi everyone, my husband would like to know if anyone knows how much rolling tabacco is on the plane?

Thanks for that Viv

You would think being all inclusive it would be free for the price you pay to start of with :?

AI alcohol is from 10 am until midnight, soft drinks 7 am til midnight (although no coffee by the pool until after 10 am), that's why any drinks for the mini bar aren't included.

Do they do speciality coffees like lattes or cappuchinos ?
Reply
They don't do any special coffees included in the all inc. but I think that you can buy them although not totally sure on this.

tea
they do a good range of liptons teas though, in boxes by all the coffee machines, the caramel tea in particular is gurt lush.

there is a coffee shop on the ground floor, near the shops, i think it was open in the afternoon and you could buy coffee and cakes there.

Somebody posted about the lobby bar being open 24/7 I take it you have to pay for the drinks there after midnight? And is it at the tropical or the palace - or maybe i was dreaming :?

Its at the palace, but there is most prob one at the tropical too?
Its a pay bar after midnight, so not much point opening really!

Just one question to ay on who has been to either PP or PT are the balconies private or shared. In the last resort I went to, we had to share balconys, which I didn't like really. So just wondering.

Any feed back from PT would be apprieciated :bow
