Hi, we have 21 nights with Haven in May/June 2006 in the Dordogne, and with 3 young children we want a 2 night stopover near Calais on the return journey.
We usually travel with Eurocamp (much more expensive this year than Haven) and so stop in a caravan at Camping Bien Assise in Guines, about 20 mins from the ferry.
Haven are not at this site. The site does have its own vans for about £130 for two nights but we may as well check out any alternatives. We will probably spend a a day at the beach. We are considering a hotel but they are probably more expensive and no barbeques!
Any reccomendations would be gratfully received.
Thank you
Bonsai - who have one in Calais
Noctuel - in Amiens, not that far off.
There are plenty of others if your kids are old enough to have their own independent room. See http://www.eurapart.com/bb.html
This site is also worth a look - they are a little more expensive than booking direct with the hotel (and freely admit it) but it saves any language/payment problems:
