There certainly are some bargains if you can go out of school holidays, unfortunately we are resitricted now our oldest is at school so our holiday is looking about £1,200 for 2 adults and 2 children SC for 3 weeks in August and most of that will be spent on flights 
I am still looking for some way of getting there cheaper bt I'm not convinced it will happen

if you dont mind a hours wait in the middle of the flight try pgs to istanbul then dalaman it works out alot cheaper

We are going to Bodrum. Also with two young children we need direct flights and during the day too so that makes it more expensive. If it was just me I would go any old how, cheap as possible
i know the airlines don't help with the price incresses during holiday time, it was just a thought as i have just booked my flights this way

Its a damn shame that they are so strict at taking children out of school during term time,mine are grown up now,and it was never a problem for us to do just that! when they were younger,so that we could go abroad a lot cheaper,it never did them any harm,one has been a bank manager before starting her family,and the other a jeweller,and never once did we go away during school holidays!. 
The 4 of us are going to marmaris for 21 nights in may (myself and 3 daughters 14, 18, and 19 yr old) all inclusive for £370 each flying with thomas cook, booked the holiday through teletext!

im off to the hemera beginning of may for 2 weeks . exactly the same holiday last year cost me just under £1100 for 2 adults.. this year its cost just over £1500 hope its not going to carry on going up..
I'm so thrilled I booked my holiday early as it's now gone up considerably. When I booked it was £575pp b&b for 2 weeks in August with direct hols from my local airport. I've just checked the website and the holiday is no longer availabe but it's available with Thomson - the exact holiday on the same date and they want £860 each
