Just booked flights, we are going to Kos first then over to Bodrum. £700 flights, approx £100 accomodation in Kos, £400 apartment in Gumbet so £1,200 for two adults and 2 children in August for 18 days.

My parents have just booked 2 weeks in Bitez June for £598 for the two of them flights and accomodation, that was wih travel republic too.

Booked to stay Club Izer Beach in Torba for the first 2 weeks of the Summer holidays (26/7 - 9/8) (I'm a teacher!!!! what a pain it is)

We got 2 free/reduced child places and booked online within days of the new prices/flights coming out last year - £3943

The same holiday is now £6060 when I priced it up!

We maybe could have got it slightly cheaper if we had booked independently, as we have booked with Flightline and On the Beach a few times before and not had a problem but they want such a big deposits £1000+ and I don't see why they should have our money for a year.

It works out about £47 per person a day which I think is very reasonble. But any holiday with 4 kids is expensive, don't we know it!

Also we are in 2 separate rooms so if anyone knows of a good 3/4 star hotel that has larger family rooms to fit us all in, plus All Inclusive please let us know!

We've paid quite a bit this year. £180 each for flights (which is a bargain) but then we've booked a villa which is £1100 for two weeks. Much more expensive than a hotel, but we really wanted peace and quiet and a private pool. I hope it's worth it!

We've booked with Holidays4u this year, going to Gumbet (from Manchester), on 9th July, for 21 nights, 2 adults and one child - £1001 I'm very pleased with this price, we booked it was back in August!

Have to say some of those prices you people paid are truly amazing ! Having never been to Turkey before,we paid around £320 each for 21 nights S/C on a package deal which, although quite high compared to the DIY brigade looks fairly reasonable when you consider that price was for the first 3 weeks in August.

Here's hoping we enjoy Turkey,then I can get some tips off you guys on how to go about getting the best DIY deal.
