Bargain hunters might like to know of the special deal just announced by the Ozbirim family at Riverside Holiday Village. From now until May 31, B&B rates are just £10, with half board £15. Guess this also takes in the Easter period, which would make it real value indeed.

Would just like to say Norht Cyprus is a wonderful unspoilt place, my in-laws live and work out there. We have ben there three times now, twice at christmas and new year and once during the summer.

It is a wonderful place to go exploring and the scenery is breathtaking, we hire a car each time we go out and and just drive! Its fantastic!

Not able to reccomend hotels to stay in as we stay with family, but the food is fantastic!

I am thinking of going to North Cyprus for Xmas/New year. Will it be hot enough to swim ? Would there be enough to do for 2 teenagers ?Are there enough places to visit as we do not sunbathe?

Hi There, It won't be hot enough to swim, the weather will be nice but the water will be cold. When we have been over christmas/new year we have been walking round in t-shirts! It does get cold at night though so take a couple of jumpers with you.

There is plenty to visit, if you drive I would suggest hiring a car. Where are you staying?

Hi, am new on here,just been reading some comments. Its is possible to fly direct to Ercan (NC) from England if you are lucky enough to book a night (10pmish) flight out from Stansted,and they are full enough to have 1 flight to turkey and enough passengers to go to Ercan,on another flight, we have done it a couple of times .You are not told as it is not accepted that this happens, but its nice to arrive in 4 1/2 hrs instead of 6.The stopover can be anything between 30-45mins,we have never been longer except when we had a wheel changed!!!!!!It was 90 mins.If you use Pacific-rentals they will be at airport with a car for you and you can leave it there on your return, very simple, very good cars, we have tried many others. I would not personnally recommend flying to Larnaca and getting a taxi to collect you as it usually ends up with hassle from South side, its longer and no cheaper.

Try CTA & Greenisland holidays for flights and compare, they can be very different at different times. book early for choice of times as all flights get full quick.If its a just a of you couple try Bellapais Gardens Hotel, its great for relaxing,sadly the Residence is closed but the MonastryVillage boutique hotel is great as well

We are getting married in Paralimni and thought that whilst having lots of babysitters with us why not slope off on our own without the little ones

Does anyone recommend some good adult only ?? hotels for a few relaxing days in Northern Cyprus ?

The Bellapais Gardens are great for couples, separate bungalows for 2!
The Monastery view boutique hotel next to the monastery village hotel is new and really great only a few very classy rooms.

we are hiring a car when we go to cyprus can we go into northern cyprus in the hire car

Not usually, insurance is a problem and also if the car fails, almost impossible for car hire firms this side to retrieve the vehicle..

I am reliably informed that Petsas & Sons will arrange insurance for "up North" for their hire cars, including CDW etc.
