Hi Fumingas.

£724 for 4 people? That means the prices were cheaper for July flights than for September flights. I think I'm now resigned to looking for package deals next year. The one I'm on at the moment is cheaper than it would cost paying the new prices for Aegean flights plus separate transfers and accommodation.

Cheers.

I know... it benefits only the peak times this year it seems :think

Yes only 15Kg, I priced up at A1 travel and for my dates in the summer school holidays they quoted over £300 each.

Had all my confirmation through. What are the odds times will be changed? Looking to book some accomodation more around Xmas time; or when else is best to book for next Summer?

Also, does anyone know any prices for upgrading luggage to 20KG?
Reply
hi my wife spoke to aegean flights enquiring about an extra 5 kilos of luggage and was told that was not an option 15 kilos is all we can have, hopefully that will change before next year....

Oh great, booked for 2 weeks as well. What is there standard charge for over-weight cases?

Someone has already mentioned about the 15kg apparently only being "free" until 1 July, so it sounds as though Aegean may be going down the slightly ridiculous route of charging for hold luggage. Honestly - who flies to a destination such as Turkey without taking luggage???

With this attitiude it sounds as though punitive charges for being over 15kg are also likely...

ive decided to not bother booking with them and wait and see , as the prices are around £165 for 15 kilos in july isnt that great a price, certainly doesnt warrant having my money for over a year, with all the flight changes and usually terrible flight times too . im going to wait to see what easy jets prices are like :think

Ellie, do you know when the easy jet flights come out?

Thanks

We certainly didnt get £55 flights. Infact I looked at loads of dates from different airports (even in May) and couldnt find a flight at that price. Wonder if anyone has been that lucky!

Ruth, the Easyjet flights to Dalaman for this summer were released on 5th December 2008. They only flew to Dalaman from Gatwick then but now also fly from Manchester from August 09. We managed to get seats a couple of weeks ago for this summer 22-29 August from Manchester for just over £120 which was a bargain :)

Same here morh.

I looked at 3 different dates from Bristol (starting before the tickets were even on sale) and couldn't find anything for less than £190 return before adding on extras such as the £5 for using a credit card. Which is why I decided to give it a miss this time.

Cheers.

Glasgow to Dalaman .only thing is free luggage is only 15 KGS .their reciept states "all hold baggage is chargeable as from 2010 (15 free if you book before 1st july ) Im just going to phone them to see how much extre 5 would cost . regards wee-john :think :think

Post script to above ---Just phoned aegean and the confifm that buying extre 5KG is not an available option . anything over will be charged as excesss at check=in and we all know what that means in ££££££'s . so Mrs wee-john will just have to be content with less stuff. regards wee-john :( :( :(

Well done John, As long as your happy, Pity about the 15kg, And particularly with them not allowing you to purchase an extra 5kg upfront, Now others should be aware of this or they will be paying around £6 per kg excess weight charges from next year with Onur.

Gutting about the 15KG weight that we're stuck too, that said my case is never usually too heavy. What I might do is a fill a small case within the 5KG hand luggage allowance with extras and the girlfriend can carry the other bits in the hand luggage. Otherwise we'll just have to fork out on the extra weight.
