They aren't all in the new bit Stumpy but maybe you can phone and request it as not sure when they are allocated if you didn't specify which part ie. at time of booking or if you have not requested which part maybe they are allocated nearer the time, apparently the ones in the old part are of high spec too
Just to let you know, deluxe studios and deluxe two bedroom apartments are located in both parts of the complex all the one bedroom deluxes are in the fishing village only.
we fly out from Stansted on 13th of August for 2 weeks ! bring it on !
Im 8 weeks on Sunday. Getting excited now ive seen the pics. 
photos are fab, thanks. I have booked a one bedroom superior does anyone know if they are in the old, new, or both?
It says on the website that superior apartments are located in both sides of the complex, i think you will just have to wait and see unless you contact them and ask to be in a specific area.
ells says all 1 bed delux are in new village sweeeet roll on 24th aug
I havnt actually requested a specific area. I dont know whether I should try to now,as the Fishing Village looks so nice it would be nice to be in that area, but I think calamity mentioned that the old part are of a higher spec. Does anyone know if the room in the existing part have been renovated?
i would hate to think a new build was worse than the old stuff already there

i would say so from pictures on fc website but new village looks sooo nice

Maybe it has changed since but when we booked we booked a one bedroom deluxe and they asked us whether we wanted to be in the old part or the new part so I assumed the one bedroom deluxe were available in both? anyway, as you say Williams, we will all enjoy whatever part we are in! roll on the 13th August!!
We were in an "old" apartment but I would definitely say it had been refurbished - there was no peeling paint, damp patches etc and the decor was of a high calibre. There was a new TV in both the lounge and main bedroom, a new DVD player and a stereo in the lounge. The lounge/dining/kitchen area and the balcony were very spacious. All the towels and linen were new (dated April 2008 !!!). The one thing we liked about being in the old part was that we overlooked one of the smaller free-form pools and had our own beach-bar but were not troubled by the first choice sound system round the big pool. We were no more than a 5 min stroll to the restaurant / kids club so felt we had the best of both worlds.
The photos that have been posted are great - just as I remember and it is good to see the kids spalsh area open at last.

Just phoned FC and the one bedroom deluxe are available in the new part and the old, there seem to be good points for both so I wouldn't worry too much.
We fly on 13th August too, from Cardiff. Our friends coming in from Newcastle, same day, soooooooo excited78 SLEEPS AND COUNTING DOWN
Mandalay was there one main pool where all the entertainment went on eg water polo etc if so was that in the fishing village or the old part.
If its in the fishing village is it near the kids splash pool ? I am just wondering as i would like to be by the kids splash pool for the little one but then my eldest daughter and my nephew would like to be where the entertainment is. Its very difficult when you are spoilt for choice

I bodster I fly out from Cardiff on the 30th July returning 13th August
