all I want is a dvd for the kiddies and nice big balcony so I can chill out while the twins take a nap lol
I will email the hotel today as well and when they reply i will let you all know!!!
But before I booked FC Call centre said superior was the better room.... but I phoned resort and spoke to a FC manager out there as I wanted some info about the creche and he told me to book a deluxe room as that was the nicer one :think and the superior wasnt even available for the dates im going, nor was all inclusive so I had to go SC.

I will email or call them today and let you all know!!! i will ask them the dvd question and also if the balcony's are a nice size lol

I looked at the aliathon website and from what im reading says that the superior apartments are the best ones u can book... but i will wait for a response on email.

update you all soon

Just to let everyone know there are more reviews on trip advisor (new ones)

Calamity if both are the exact same then why has Williams paid more for a superior. Did you ask him this ?

Ellsbells, no I do not know why Williams paid more for a superior like I do not know why I paid more for a deluxe! When I asked this question the reply was "please speak to first choice about their pricing structure as you did not book directly with the hotel" I have since had an updated e mail about the rooms, there are 2 tv's in the deluxe and superior rooms and there is also a dvd player in both types of room.

ok i got a reply from the hotel and they state
"that the only difference between the deluxe and superior is that the deluxe has plasma tvs there in the new complex with higher standards and have a bigger balcony.
both deluxe and superior apartments have 2 tvs one in bedroom one lounge and both have dvd players also most superior rooms have a large balcony"

that was the response i got... certainly answered my questions and appears theres hardly any difference between the 2 other then the plasma tv which dosent bother me either way!! im not there to watch tv.... only wanted one for the twins and they wont be too fussed what they watch there dvds on

also just to note the brochure i got from the hotel does not mention deluxe but its says

superior rooms are a higher level of accommodation and in addition to the standard facilities offer CD,HIFI,Radio systems, sataliete Tv, both in sitting room and bedroom, pool towels and are next to our free form lagoon style swimming pool for added privacy, all have either a large balcony or terrace with sun beds and umbrellas

Hope this helps... seem to me theres very little difference between the 2 so dont think we have anything to worry about

Hi all, what a nightmare of a day, I have never booked with First Choice before and I can assure you after this I never will. I have spent over 3 hrs on the phone today as no-one at FC knew the difference between the rooms, and when they did someone else then said different. I have never been told so much incorrect information before. The deluxe rooms are £2 per person per night and the superior are £3 per person per night. Some of the info they were coming out with was laughable eg the only difference between the rooms is that the deluxe has micro and superior doesnt - and thats why i had to pay £46 extra to upgrade to a superior from a delxue is NOT to have a micro in room (yeah right). Even spoke to a manager there and it was like getting blood out of a stone. I do believe the rooms are more or less the same but have to admit that I personally would say the deluxe are of a slightly higher standard as they are all in the Fishing Village where ALL the superior are in the old part. (so well done you Deluxe people)
They cant justify why I have paid extra and will look into it to see whether a reinbursment is due. Yeah right I havnt paid £3150 for a holiday before all my wedding costs to settle for that. We SHALL be speaking tommorrow.

Just to clarify there are micros in both rooms.

One positive thing, for all you planning to get married within the Aliathon. Stelios has sent me info regading places for the wedding ceremony and the actual reception within the Aliathon. Nice picture of gazebo, six options for the reception and several menus they are able to offer.

To be honest Williams i have been with FC quite a few times now and have never had a problem with them i think the only reason everyone is unsure probably even the staff at first choice is because this is a new hotel. Lets hope now that you get reinburst and we all have a fantastic holiday.

Have they no Deluxe rooms left so that you can change back? I wouldn't worry either way, they will all be lovely and newly refurbished and others have suggested that the balconies might be bigger in the original part of the complex. If you've been overcharged then it definitely needs sorting but I don't think you'll see much difference in the quality - tell the hotel it's your honeymoon and they'll make sure you get the extra special treatment you deserve! I too have booked with first choice before, as well as other companies, but first choice are still the best by a long, long way.

i dont know how you booked williams but my main problem has been booking through the website/call centre as everytime I have a question or need to add something to my booking the first choice shop tell me to call the call centre which is not only a higher rate charge phone call, but you seem to wait ages to speak to some one and then they dont know what there on about,
I booked with FC Last year to Bulgaria through my local travel agent and they were nothing but helpful. i would never make a web/call centre booking again and will stick to the travel agents in the future!

one thing i was a bit annoyed about is i changed my sons flight meal to a childs one and asked if i could book an extra meal for his twin sister but as i didnt pay for her as a child and she dosent have a seat on the plane (i booked my son as a child even though he will be a week of his 2nd birthday so i could get the free child place and extra seat on the plane) they wont allow me to purchase a meal for her, they told me if i wanted a meal for her i would have to pay an extra seat on the plane i couldnt just pay for her meal :(
its not that big of a deal but would of been nice if i didnt have to worry about preparing and taking her dinner on the plane with us... and with my twins been typical children they always want what the other ones got so there is bound to be temper tantrums about it!!!!

We fly out to the new holiday village on 25th June, after seing the photos we can't wait. Have booked a 2 bed Delux. Got a really good deal but booked ages in advance - the day the bookings were released last year.
Will post some photos when we get back.

Hi can anyone help on this one regarding the transfer times from the airport , on the FC website it says the transfer time is 40 minutes but if you go back to the old aliathon website it says it is actually on 8 minutes how can this be which one is it ? :think
Reply
Hi our transfer took about 20 mins but our coach was only for the Aliathon. I suppose FC are trying to cover themselves if you have to stop at other hotels on the way.

Just a word of warning about the return trip - Paphos departure terminal is under going building work (don't know when it is due to finish) and we had to queue outside for about 30 mins before being allowed inside to queue again for the check-in desks! Absolute Chaos (3 different FC flights all trying to check in at same time).
