Discussions regarding holidays in Cyprus
For all you people leaving late on your last day, are you aware that all inclusive end at 12 midday. Just read a report where the gentleman extended his wrist band for the day for 20 euros then went and got food and drink for the whole family for the rest of the day. Hope it helps anyone ;)

i have previously been to a hotel that does this and we made friends with a family that was leaving few days before us so we got them drinks and snacks all day then other couple that also became friends with after looked after us on day we left it seemed thats what a lot of people were doing this and was the (norm) i think its wrong as we dont arrive until early hours of monday so we lose a day at start also so anyone leaving in time im there 24th aug until 8th sep i will gladly look after you on last day :cheers :tongue

Can I ask how this works - I assume you have to check out of your room by say midday and they remove your band when you hand your keys in? Do they check that you are still wearing the band when you go for food and drinks? My little boy snapped his on day 2 of our holiday last year (HV Turkey) and he didnt get stopped at any point - do they enforce the policy at Cyprus?

ive had that problem before to with the kids not wanting the band on but in 1 hotel we had a card with the adults pictures on it as well but after a few days bar staff got to know us and knew we were all inc.. lol williams im planning to drink them dry so they wont see no difference

i wonder if with late check out you get to keep your all inc?????
67 sleeps to go :swear

Hi, I noticed that someone mentioned in a previous message that men have to wear long trousers in the restaurant, I have 2 questions regarding this comment.

1. Does this only apply for the evening meal?? :que
2. Can they wear jeans? as my hubby is not really a dress trouser man

Many thanks

im not happy with having to wear long trousers in the resteraunt, if of course this is true, its did not say anywhere in the brochure or online that this is the case, I didnt have to at the HV in Turkey, I never take any long trousers with me on holiday so I would have been well & truly snookered, and very hungry ! :tongue

They said this last year in the HV Viva and most of the men wore three quarter length combat shorts.I think as long as they are not short [as in the length of swimming shorts] you should be fine. :)

I think so too, it's probably to stop big hairy guys in speedos putting us off our foood, that can only be a good thing!

Is this an all British hotel or are there any Johnny Foreigners there ??

can guarantee it wont be all British when i get there as hubby is American therefore so are my kids (well 1/2)... but i believe its a first choice only resort so on a whole it should be British people!! either way it dont bother me if i wanted to be around all British people I would stay at home! :tongue

on the trouser situation i hope men can wear 3/3 combat/long short style or jeans as my hubby dosent even own a pair of dinner/dress trousers :que other then his military ones and i am pretty sure he wouldnt want to wear them!!!

i just cant wait to go now...... and i hope the weather is nice thats my main concern :sun2 but thats unpredictable!!!
