Hi baidman,no ques, thats why we love that time of year its busy but not over croweded how old are your kids?
gina m, my kids are 4,8 and 14. The 4 yr old stays at his nanas when we go abroad but we would love to take him with us next year as we think he's old enough now to really enjoy it. He's been a bit of a mardy boy up to now - he's scared of everything - flys in the back garden, planes flying overhead, too much heat...... so going abroad would be too much for the little mite to cope with!!!!! The other two are totally mad girls who love the sun, pools, trying new foods, everything to do with being abroad - and they absolutely love the kids clubs - they make so many friends - its great. I think going back to the aliathon next year but at the end of sept/early oct price and queue wise sounds better - i just hope the weather is just as good!
back again gina m, i read back and noticed your two children are roughly the same age as mine (if ive read right), have they been going abroad since a young age? and have you had trouble taking them out of school during school time or are the teachers ok with it?
Hi, my kids are roughly the same age iv never had problems with teachers etc, they have to do catch -up when they get back. when do you fly and where do you fly from they have been going abroad since they came out of nappies but if any were really scared i would do the same as you leave them at home my brother does that with one of his boys
hi gina m, we fly out on 27th August from manchester - it'll also be our wedding anniversary on that day so it'll be nice to celebrate it when we get to the aliathon at some point in the evening - thats if we're not to worn out - i suppose we've got seven day to celebrate it really!!!!!!! If i remember right your flying from manchester too?
Can I ask that you keep on topic regarding the hotel?
Sorry luci, bit new to this, will try to remember.
We try to keep topics "on topic" so that members and guests can easily find the information they are looking for, in this case on the Aliathon. It can be frustrating to have to wade through off topic chat which is not relevant.
Please feel free to post your dates, etc in our HOLIDAY COUNTDOWN TOPIC
Thanks
luci
Few pages back someone said men were required to wear trousers at mealtimes at this HV and someone else asked if jeans/ 3/4 pants could be worn. To anyone who's just come back what are the rules regarding this.
all hotels ive stayed at with this rule mean jeans, 3/4 lengths trakkies n so on are allowed just not shorts/swimwear
hello all we stayed at hv costa del sol a few years ago and could get in dinner with dress shorts on so this is a bit confusing.i have never been to a hotel particularly in high season were they make you wear jeans, pants so i cant see the aliathon doing it ,hopefully anyway!
I have been to many [we usually go half board or all inc] which insist on long trousers and collard shirt in the evening usually the 4 & 5 star but we did also have it on Cyprus in a grade b aparthotel...
8 weeks to go from today good times ,had to pay the balance today bad times
4 weeks today for me getting close now
grrrrr i want to go now
Never mind stumpy when i get back you,ll still be going. Plus i can take some pictures of the rooms for you so you know what they look like before you arrive. HA HA HA
