Thank you, that makes sense...
Yippee, visas arrived back this morning. Sent them on 22nd Feb, not bad going, 1 day under 2 weeks. I can relax now.
Well done Polly, and on a Wednesday as well now you can give your fingers a rest you must be down to the second knuckle by now
I sent off for our visas on 01/03/07 and they were received on 02/03/07. I had 22 applications in the envelope with passports, photos etc. Now, I was going to take the advice on the forum and split them into separate envelopes but in the end I opted to put them all on the same envelope but put each application etc inside its own clear plastic wallet. It cost £12 for the bank draft and £8.90 each way for the special delivery. I can't believe it!! They all arrived back to my address today, in 6 working days!!! One less thing to worry about
we posted our visa's on 1.03.07....no sign of them yet and we leave on the 19th!!!!!
Have you tried calling them? It takes a while to get through but you do get hold of a human being eventually.
I reckon they did ours so quick cos they just wanted them out the way!!
Yes, we have tried to call and they said they will be with us by the end of the week! We fly on monday...so stressed out!
Thank goodness I have just got our visa's back, I was really getting stressed as Wwe fly on Monday as well. Lipsticklady, I am sure you will be ok where are you flying from.
Phoned the embassy yesterday and they have told me that they were in the post. The postman has just been and gone and no visas!!!!!!
Its pointless saying not to worry- but hopefully they are in the post and you get them tomorrow.
Gail
You should have received a receipt for your registered envelope from the post office when you sent off for your visas.
If you get in touch with your local sorting office they should be able to let you know where your registered envelope is in the system.
I have consulted the bones and they will be with you tomorrow .
A guy at the front of the queue answers his phone and says (to whoever!) "Yes I am at the front of the queue in this place now, and next to be seen, but the place is an absolute shambles and like something out of a carry on movie! "
I would say that sums things up pretty good
Lipsticklady, have you got your visa's ok
oh my goodness I hope she has. Her holiday is tomorrow
we always use trailfinders to get visas at late notice ,,just sent them yesterday as hubby is taking daughter in 3 weeks and shes not been before ,,his visa is still valid, they send them back within 5 days of recieving them ,, at a cost of £25 per application .when you add up petrol costs and waiting time and travel ,its a bargin and less of a worry
The suspence is killing me
