Yes. I use the Banco Santander one which is about 100 yards along on the right of the Pollensa road from the main roundabout in the resort centre.

I was behind some-one in the Bank the other day who was complaining that he couldn't get money out of the ATM with his new American Express Card, because he's forgotten to initialise it before he came on holiday!
He was complaining to Banca March, in English, as if it was their fault! I never cease to be amazed at the number of very stupid people who are let out on their own, let alone out of the country!
However problems can and do happen, and I would strongly suggest that anyone coming on holiday brings with them a variety of payment options in case one fails for any reason.
BTW the current exchange rate for sterling (no commission) over here is 1.41, having been 1.43 earlier in the week.

Yes, I've queued behind several people who were using a new card for the first time abroad, that is they had not used it in the UK before leaving. The computer check rejected it as a suspected illegal usage for this reason. Always use the card in the UK before using it abroad.
Hey headin in a couple of days and was just gonna take my bank card with me, its a cirrus and works all over the world so the bank says, but was just wondering is there many atms around and do they all take the same cards or are some more picky than others??
There are ATMs all over the town in Santa Ponsa so you'll have no problem finding one suitable. However, in general, those with a SERVIRED sign don't charge additional commission: some of the other banks do. It's always worth checking to see just how much you are being charged. Personaly I tend to use Barclays or Deutchbank on the main road into the resort but really they're all much of a muchness.
One suggestion - if you plan to withdraw large amounts it's a good idea to let your card issuer know in advance the dates you'll be in Mallorca to ensure your card isn't flagged up as 'unusual use' and thereby blocked. Should that happen, simply take your passport and card to a cashier and they'll sort it out. Don't worry about a thing as all the banks in Santa Ponsa have (some) English-speaking staff and are used to helping tourists.

Just a little point. We are all supposed to carry ID around here and if you are ever using a Credit/Debit card in a shop or bank they will usually ask to see your Passport.

hi can anyone tell me if i can use a nationwide card in atms in magaluf it is only a cirrus cashcard i have been on the mastercard atm locater but i do not think it is working right at the moment please help 
No problems using a Nationwide Flexaccount debit card at ATM's in Magaluf. We have used it all over the world, including Majorca, no problem at all.

Hello sadiejp, if you look on the back of your solo card you will see a Maestro and Cirus logo, as long as you use your card in a AMT with these signs on them you will be fine.

I use my Lloyds Tsb debit card in Magalluf, I use the Telebanko machines mostly. So far no problems. They do charge you £2 extra for each transaction.
For a change this year, I have decided not to purchase travelers cheques.
Is there a few ATM machines in the resort to enable me to use my switch card instead.
