Hi nicky

flight was excellent and on time - in fact landed early - immigration was a nitemare though took us 2 hours to get through

when we got there we couldnt check into our hotel so we went for a wander for an hour to get our bearings

we got a taxi from the airport - mad driver who was reading his newspaper whilst driving at the same time - then stopped for petrol and was mad - very scarey but funny at the same time

had emailed the hotel loads of times before we got there about hubby's birthday and they made him a cake and we got a lovely card welcoming us to the hotel - had nice views (29th floor)

We had bought the fast pass for the Empire State which Im pleased we did as the queues were mad - we did that just as it was about to go dark

Did the Top of the Rock (my fav thing) and got some lovely pics of the Empire State Building - we didnt have to queue long here and was made up we went as this was our last day and we squeezed it in - better views at the rock as people had said to us

Bought loads of things for the baby - make sure you get the discount cards in Macys and Bloomingdales and we spent over 200 dollars which entitled us to a free bag which went down well as part of a present for someone ha ha

We did the Hop on Hop off bus tour (bought a 2 day pass which was 50 dollars each) and we were pleased we did this - spent a day doing the down loop (ie Statton island Ferry, Wall St, Ground Zero and Century 21 - wasnt that impressed with Century 21 though got a few bits in there)
