Thanks for that info. Wasn't sure if they would have got started on time!
Might take a chance that it'll be open for Easter. Would imagine they'd want to be because of the Easter holidays.
Not even sure why we like it so much! :think
Looking forward to the toilets being upstairs anyway! :tup

Hopefully we'll be able to hit Panchos everynight, if not I'll have to find somewhere else to keep me entertained, I mean keep the kids entertained!!! :cheers

Hi Shirley, we're going out on the 11th April, so it's the 2nd week. Only going for a few days and just taking my neice this time - nephews getting a bit too old!
You'll probably pop in to Panchos and think 'What is that crazy bird on about, this place is pants?!?!?!?!'.
:que
Hee hee!!! Hopefully you'll like it and I won't seem so mad for going on and on about it!
Hope you have a great time and leave me some sun!!! :cheers

wheeltappers closed till March to quiet to open .

Got back last night
Yes Pancos is closed and there is fencing up around the outside....but I would say nothing is being done there.....or if there is they are really quiet as there wasn't a sound coming from there.
Rachels ,wheeltappers, zodiac and sandras were all closed when we got ther but zodiac and sandras are both open again now.
All cabaret clubs were really quiet and a lot have the same acts on every night so it's not livened up yet.....mind you I've never been in the winter.....and I wouldn't go again either.....to quiet for me

We're staying at the Levante Club apartments and would like to watch the Grand National, which is on the day that we arrive. Can anyone recommend somewhere close by where we can see it, as we won't have had time to explore the area first? Thanks.

you could try the triangle or white horse pubs which are virtually opposite your apartments

Thanks for the quick reply. Are either of them sports bars as I think that's the best chance we'll have of seeing it.

Can you recommend any places in that area for good value Spanish food please, either for tapas at lunch or evening meal. Thanks

the stretford end on calle londres :think it has a bookies too.

Thank you - we were wondering whether to do a bet before going.

the national will be on saturday 4th april , if i was you i`d put you bet on and watch it in a pub .

i will be in the Carousel Bar (accross from the brittania bar) for the race , as it has the best bookies and big screens .

ps Notre Pere will win it :sun2

went into the grand national pub but no bookie so i watched the national in the piccadilly next to the indoor market 1 euro a pint, big screen and a bookie at the back. don't know if it is still the same this year.

Hi all, I am heading off to Benidorm this Saturday with my partner. It's his birthday when we are away, and I was hoping to book a nice Chinese restaurant for us to go to. There seems to be so many of them in Beni, I was hoping that somebody could recommend one or two to me.

Thanks

Angie

Thats something I havent done in beni, had a chinese. I think there is one next door to the wheeltappers which I have heard about somewhere that is OK

The one next to the Wheeltappers used to be excellent. It went way downhill, then was taken over. I can't say what it's like now, but would like several good reports before I try it again.

We tend to go to the Hong Kong or Chinatown on Calle Esperanto. They are consistently good.

Other good Chinese restaurants are El Pato Laquerdo in the Old Town and any of the WOK franchises.

Right, being a Beni novice and trying to find out as much as possible about the place, it's struck me that it seems to be a lot bigger than I imagined. As we're only staying for a week we don't want to waste time wondering all the streets and going into the wrong bars :rofl Are there loads of streets with bars and restaurants or are they all concentrated in one particular area? If there are loads of streets is there any particular one that is best for choice and value for money meals/pubs please? A bit of a loaded question I know but I'd hate us to spend most of the week in one area, only to find another great area on our last day ;) :cheers
Thanks
