Thanks Pebbles. I could just imagine work being delayed for some reason or another. Although I suppose all the time it's closed it's not making any money.
Roll on Easter when we can check it out. Hope it won't have lost any of its classy atmosphere!!! ;)

They sell whole cooked chickens amongst other things. You can also eat in the restaurant, chicken, pizzas etc. You won't buy anywhere else when you taste them. Karen

On a more sombre note could i perhaps just clear up a bit of confusion with regards to the death of a much loved Benidorm entertainer Mike St John. Mike who was a Comedy/Vocalist very sadly passed away earlier this year. He was a lovely chap, really pleasant with a great sense of humour, and a good singer too. He had been suffering poor health for a while and had returned to the UK a few years back. Unfortunaltely some people have confused him with the disabled singer Neil St John, who appeared on the Benidorm Unpacked series, which because of the similarity of name, and also the fact that they appeared many times on the same bill at Steptoes, is an understandable mistake. Neil St John, is very much still with us i'm happy to report!

RIP Mike.

Best Regards - Taggy

Thanks Taggy. In case some members may be wondering what confusion you are talking about, I should point out that all references to the deaths of both gentlemen were removed pending clarification. As you say, perhaps an understandable reason for the mix up in this case, but one which could have caused unnecessary distress to the family of Neil St John, who I am happy to note is alive and well. It is sad though to have the news of Mike St John's death confirmed.

Unfortunately it is not the first time that we have had the deaths of Benidorm entertainers falsely reported. To avoid any unnecessary distress to friends or families in the UK who may read such comments, we would ask members to ensure that any such reports are based only on confirmed fact, rather than hearsay picked up on holiday, or unsubstantiated comment found on other websites. It would obviously be better to take some time to establish the facts first off-forum, rather than rush online and risk reporting something which may be unfounded and upsetting to those involved.

Many thanks, and thanks again to Taggy for clearing up that confusion in other members' posts.
