Hi Sharon.
The Parasio Apartments are on the levante beach side of town....honey you have miles of one of the best beaches in Europe to decide where to lay your body and acquire the all important tan.

Have you seen any of my videos.? this will shown the scale of what we are talking about and show you all 3 beaches.

Could anyone please tell me what they think is the best part of the beach!

I am returning to benidorm this year and want to spend time on the beach. However when I went last year I stayed in the Levante Club Hotel, which is a nice hotel for anyone wanting to know. However it was probably a 10-15 min walk to the beach... then when getting to the beach I had heard you had to walk further up, so I walked to a point where I couldnt be bothered anymore... and still the sea had massive rocks in and not sand how I prefer it, also it seemed that we were the only english people on this part of the beach!

I am staying in the Rio Park this year so if anyone could point out say a shop to look for or something, or navigate from the square??

The best part of the beach, IN MY OPINION, is at the Poniente end as it seems to be free from those rocks you mention, which are among most of the levante beach. You need to head to the old town, past dove park, but it will take you longer than 20mins to get there.

If your staying at the Rio Park, walk straight down to the beach from there, and that part of the beach is less rocky than the end you were at last year.

Long time since I was in the sea, but Cazz is correct, there is a thin rocky shelf that runs along the Levante beach, but there are gaps where the rocks are not so prevalent......once over the rock shelf, then there seems to be no more.

Any area along the beach where there are no sunloungers for hire, is where you'll find the Spanish....the very end of the beach near the ski ride is a popular parking spot for the Spanish.....because of their "habits" most Spaniards leave the beach around 1pm and come back around 5 ish....they won't pay for a sunlounger to not be using it and most bring their own anyway...look for the chairs, tables and different parasols.
I would hazard a guess, that the Spanish know which is the "best" bit of beach and don't park themselves there with their children ...without a reason.

Buy some goggles. Those rocks attract all sorts of fish you'll never see on any other busy tourist beach. You may as well enjoy something to make up for the sore feet!

The rocks dont make my feet sore... they just dont feel very nice to walk on! Sand just feels nice and not like... erm... seaweedy
