Indians are somewhat abrupt when they comment on people and their size, hair colour, pinkness, browness, height or just about anything there is to comment on. I've noticed they even do it to themselves, so I've learnt not to take any notice of such comments, except to sometimes throw one back.

Room bills and such like - a lot of it is because there is not enough organisation and the roomboys may get accused so they are ultra careful/paranoid/worried.

I always watch the restaurant bills, especially when there is a group of us just in case they put the same drinks on two different bills. It's not common but has happened.

Overall, I think people are trustworthy of the British as we are on the honest side, thankfully.

Just yesterday a taxi driver friend of mine took some Russian men late at night to the North of Goa. When he got there the men grabbed his throat and hit the taxi with big sticks and refused to pay. He was shoook up, but said this doesn't happen with the British, thankfully he is ok, just out of pocket.

Moral be aware, be patient and don't worry too much,just know what you've had and pay for only that.
