Hello Helen, I'm sure you would love Bitez, it's traditional and has wonderful restaurants.
As for B&B, I, and I'm sure Briar will back me up on this, would recommend the Manuela Hotel. Just have a look at the hotel reports. Or have a look at the Bitez photo album.

Another decent hotel is the Okaliptus. Del can tell you about that one.

The 3 women all work in a school so we have to holiday in August. Whenever we have tried to book direct it's very expensive as we can't find any cheap flights. I'll have a look though. Thanks Helen
Last year we stayed (B&B) at the Small World. It is just back from the beach but close to all the restaurants. Small, clean and quiet.
Sirca Apartments with First Choice might suit you - we liked it and it gets good reviews.
I'll have a look at all your suggestions - thanks. I like the look of the Manuela but from what I've read the Gold Trail company doesn't have much of a reputation, and so far I haven't found anyone else that goes there.
I think Goldtrail's reputation is based mainly on some of the properties they use. And, as we know, the Manuela is a great hotel.

Helen - First Choice are showing flights from Bristol departing Sunday, 22.50 and returning on Monday, 05.50. The cost, including tax, meals, 20kg baggage etc. is £325.50pp. Can't find any others at the moment. The dates I tried were Sunday, 3rd to Monday, 15th. At least it gives you a starting point.

Hi Prawn,we are going to the kassandra in bitez the last two weeks in aug never been before but we got a good deal and the reveiws for it were not bad. Never been to bitez either we usually go to kalkan or turunc but flights to dalaman were terrible times so we thought we would try somewhere different.We holidayed in gumbet about 8 yrs ago but did'nt manage to visit bitez I take it from the number of times you have been you would reccomend it?
There are lots of Bitez worshipers on this site( me being one of them.)If you put Bitez in the search icon at the top of the page you'll get loads of reports and info on the beautiful resort.You can't fail to have a good holiday here I wish I was going too!

hi prawn no we have never stayed at the kassandra this will be our first time we usually stay at makumba summer garden apts. we used to use the kassandra at lunchtimes and for their sunbeds as that end of the beach was never very crowded, and as we have no kids this year we thought we would go for something small and basic looked on the net and found this was a good bargain 2 weeks b&b for 2 people £477.42 dont no what the rooms are like but it was always clean & tidy in the dinning area, toilets, reception & around the pool and the staff were very friendly
Hi, annemac - yes, as you may have gathered we are Bitez fans. Unfortunately, we will just miss you as we arrive on 3 September.

Don't usually worry too much as a hotel is just a place to sleep and as long as it is clean and friendly it suits me - this year though we are staying for 4 weeks so I guess I am worrying more than usual as it was my choice (but then when is it not?! 'Sir' couldn't book a hotel to save his life!
