Hi my name is Terry and i am Helen's (Bluebabe's) son. After reading your forum i had to reply to show my family's appreciation.

I dont know where to start...First can i say on behalf of myself, my dad, my wife Linda, my sister Heather and all my family a massive thank you for the kind words that have been posted on your forum. My Mum would probably be as overwhelmed as we are with the love from everyone.

My Mum first fell in love with Cyprus when she came to visit me while i was serving there with the Army. After that there was no getting her back on the flight to go home. I am still convinced she said it was colder in the UK than it actually was so that i would invite her over to stay with me and Linda. To be honest i loved having her.

As strange as it may sound, i knew about this site because Mum always talked about it. She was thrilled that the last time she was in Cyprus, she got the chance to meet people she had been talking to on the site. She loved the site because when she couldnt get out of bed (which was most of the time) she could chat with people who loved Cyprus as much as she did.

Words cant describe how empty we feel at the moment. Personally i have not only lost my Mum but also my closest friend and the person who always told me the right thing to do. However i sit and read the messages posted on the forum and it gives not only myself, but all of us a great deal of comfort. To know she was so well loved is a huge source of comfort.

The plan is still to scatter her ashes at Aphrodites Rock in July. I promise to keep everyone posted on how things go.

Thank you again to everyone.

Thank you so much for posting Terry, it is much appreciated as I'm sure you have so many other priorities at the moment.

My sincere condolences on the loss of your mum. I'm glad the messages have been of some comfort to the family.

Thank you also for letting us know that Helen's ashes will be scattered in Cyprus, the place where her heart truly belonged.

We will all be thinking of Helen on Friday.

Take care.

Thank you for taking the time Terry, for posting us a lovely message. Your mum was a lovely lady. I never heard or saw written, anything angry or unkind, and she was always writing words of comfort and support for others.
I never knew until a few weeks ago, that she was so ill. Yet she never complained or moaned, and she continued to make me smile.
It is for those very qualities, that I will miss her. And I know that she will be missed by many people on here, and on the other site that she visited.

Sympathies for you and your family at this time. xx

I have sent a card to Helen's family on behalf of all our members.

As Helen's family have requested family flowers only we will be sending a donation to the hospital ward, (from us all) where Helen spent some of her time.

(Many thanks to Medot for the contact details)

Just a little note to Helen's family who are visiting Cyprus to scatter her ashes in July.

She is still sorely missed on the forum, and I am sure I speak for the many to whom she was an inspiration when I say we will all be with you in thoughts and prayers.

God Bless and rest easy in your beloved Cyprus, Helen.
