this is Ian and I just needed to pay my respects to a brilliant woman.
Helen helped me on many levels with my own illness and was an inspiration for me as a person. She was always on hand to pass me a compliment and to look out for me, with a strong will throughout her own illness. Her words were always warm and heartfelt and I know how much she loved cyprus as well as her family, children & grandchildren. I also know how much she touched members of multiple forums, and despite being unwell was dedicated to helping anyone regardless of their age, reputation or problem. I will miss her as much as anyone, her support for me was strong & again i've lost someone who meant a lot to me.
σου εύχομαι κατευόδιο Helen. (I hope I got the greek correct)
I send my sincere condolences to Helens family and friends.
May the stars carry away your sadness
Making memories to keep Helen near.
The soul wouldn't have a rainbow
If the eyes had no tears.
RIP Helen

I got to know Helen through the general chat. Perhaps it was the Scottish connection but we got on well. She was a lovely genuine person and a real inspiration. I sadly lost my gran 2 weeks ago and hope she is guiding helen through.
My deepest, sincerest, thoughts and prayers to Helen's family and all her friends here on HT and on HC.
What very sad news to hear. I have read some of Helens posts from which anyone can see what a kind and helpful member of the forum she was. All that she contributed was written in a helpful and friendly manner and I am sure was very much appreciated by those that she helped.

Helen and I had a few exchanges on here and she came over as one of life's best.
We just missed each other on a couple of occasions as we both seemed to be in Cyprus in September, but not at the same time.
Coincidentally, it is only a few days since I thought to myself that I hadn't seen Helen post on here for a while.
Condolences to Helen's family.

I remember Helen as a very helpful member of Holiday Truth, always willing to help others out with some advice.
I didn't know Helen as I only really post over in the Goa forum, but I heard about this last night in the Chat room and just wanted to come over and offer my condolences to her family.
The Rose Beyond the Wall
Near a shady wall a rose once grew,
Budded and blossomed in God's free light,
Watered and fed by the morning dew,
Shedding it's sweetness day and night.
As it grew and blossomed fair and tall,
Slowly rising to loftier height,
It came to a crevice in the wall
Through which there shone a beam of light.
Onward it crept with added strength
With never a thought of fear or pride,
It followed the light through the crevice's length
And unfolded itself on the other side.
The light, the dew, the broadening view
Were found the same as they were before,
And it lost itself in beauties new,
Breathing it's fragrance more and more.
Shall claim of death cause us to grieve
And make our courage faint and fall?
Nay! Let us faith and hope receive--
The rose still grows beyond the wall,
Scattering fragrance far and wide
Just as it did in days of yore,
Just as it did on the other side,
Just as it will forevermore.
