We stayed there last christmas and found the hotel to be very basic (but so are most) It is however a bit of lottery as far as rooms are concerned.
So my advice would be to ask if you can see other rooms if you're not happy with the one you're allocated, preferably before you accept the one given. We did this and were given a better room. There were others who complained after they had unpacked and got nowhere. The ones by the pool were better than those nearer the beach.
The Hotel is in a unique position though right on the beach which is very lively by day and a joy in the evenings. If it's peace you crave, Baga beach is not for you. We travelled extensively whilst there so if I can be of any more help let me know.

The CSM phone number is 0832-227-6107 / 0832-227-7299 hope this helps. the rooms are better near the pool we are in 203 which is good all Blocks ithin the comples are ok and the first few outside then they start to verry my advice ring and try to reserve a room, we did this but the room was gone when we got here so no guarentes but worth a try. Best room in the complex in my oppinion is 214 have fun

Can you book C S M direct if so does any one have contact details. Cannot get through on details above.
Try 0091-832-227-7299

Hope you are better now!

I woud'nt want to pay more than 1000rps for a place in that standard of accomodation. Trouble is it,s hard to barter with them when you are'nt there in person. A lot depends on the time you re going, the occupancy rates and if you have used them before. Previous years I tried to get a decent price for the Ticlo Resort but the owner woud'nt commit, I also tried the Osborne and after the season was over they emailed me with a price of 800rps per room per night, for the next season I had stayed there a couple of times so mabey that helped. It's not quite on a par with C.S.M however. I think the price you have been quoted is far too expensive when you add on flight costs on top Alan
I know that first choice was offering the phoenix park for two weeks at the beginning of March on their website for £500-ish, so even allowing for end of Jan being a bit dearer....... you get my drift?
definately seems a bit on the dear side to me.

We booked a room for my sister in law for Rs1000 per night in april so jan should not be more than Rs1250 per night try to get a better deal or book through Somak as a package.
just wondering if anyone has the e-mail address for csm, I have tried to e-mail them using the address given on thier internet page but it keeps getting bounced back to me.
thanks for the help.
Thought I'd send them an e-mail instead...much cheaper too! Or perhaps I could fax them from work....

Thanks
Neil
