Sounds like you outstayed your welcome

She told me to lay on her bed and I always do what I am told. :rofl

As promised, here are some photo's of the view from Lizzie's apartment taken off the video.
The quality is not as good as from the camera, but it gives you the idea.

Some bright spark decided at the last minute not to take the camera

The apartment had an enclosed double glazed balcony and I think I would have spent an awful lot of time sitting there, just soaking up the view.....of which I personally would never ever get tired of.

The first picture is the view from Lizzie's bed.

And finally...I wonder what he was thinking.?

Hi Sanji. It really was a fantastic view wasn't it? And we did sit on the balcony a lot, in fact I never sat in the lounge at all :D

Debbie, the apt we stayed in is no longer available to rent, so we are having to look for somewhere else, its going to be a hard to find anything with a view like that.

And finally...I wonder what he was thinking.?

.....Life doesn't getting any better than this.....

:thanks sanji.

Wish I was there now soaking up those views.

I used sit out there with my mp3 player on and when the song by Frankie Vallie '' Can't Take My Eyes Off You" came on I thought how very apt it was.

There was always something going on, be it the early morning joggers, walkers, dog walkers, the beach cleaners. We saw the same people at the same time every morning  One evening after New Year we even had our own little firework display on the beach.

That apartment really must have had the best views of Beni, it may have been dated and need of refurnishment, :( but I would have still gone in it just for the views.

I am searching for another beach front 2/3 bedroomed apt now for next Christmas, but no one can guarantee a lowish floor. So if any one knows of one could you please let me know.

Thanks.

Hi Sanji,

How busy is it over the festive period?. We fly out Boxing day until 3rd January. With it being our first year married I thought I would give her a Christmas present to Beni (plus no in-laws to put up with  ).

EDIT: Transferred from a separate topic, as this thread has more info specifically about the festive period.

Hiya
How busy is it over the festive period?.

It is very busy, especially with the Spanish who come for Navidad and the New Year, they tend to leave in their hundreds to spend the 6th Jan at home with their family and friends after the Three Kings Parade on the eve of the 5th Jan.....unless of course their extended family are all with them in Beni.

Take a look at this video,I tried to show just how busy and popular the Christmas period is, with people of all Nations.

Hi there

Christmas and New Year weatherwise was very nice, I spent Christmas Day and most of the following week on the beach! It was pretty quiet on there as the breeze is quite cool. Find yourself a nice spot towards the back of the beach and you may even come back with a tan like we did. It started to cool down around 3-4pm and you would definitely need a cardigan, maybe even a coat on the night time. Some nights there was even frost on the cars!

There are quite a few................erm...............mature people there but also still a load of families and the clubs still have a few people in them. I am only in my early thirties and we still stayed out till 8 in the morning a few times so you don;t need to worry too much.

New Years Eve was extremely busy on the square as a lot of Sapnish people came down to celebrate, it was wonderful.

Enjoy

Looking forward to flying out to Benidorm on 30th December 2007. My only concern is that it's going to be full of old people. I know that the majority of people will be older than me. (me and my mate are 22 year old fellas).

I just don't want to go there and be the only people in clubs and that. But surely there's got to be a healthy amount of people my age who fancy new years eve in Benidorm. (plenty of women too, fingers crossed).

Hopefully the bars and clubs will still be open and open until stupid o clock. Otherwise, I'll have it in the neck as it was my idea to book.

Can someone please put my mind at rest.... thanks.

You can relax Cognito your neck is safe, plenty of people your age in Beni over New Year, especially in the clubs on the Square. All are open well past stupid o clock so you should not be disappointed. There are still loads of fogies about (including myself) but they all tend to end up in Cafe Benidorm so steer clear or you will find yourself on the end of sloppy granny kisses at midnight.
Have fun
