Hi
I think it opens at 10 but could be earlier?? I've stayed there twice, my Mum three times, we love it!
If you search the forum you'll find lots of Conrad info and pics
Pippy
i heard they had a gym but i never looked for it,too much else to do ,but if you have any other questions please feel free
Did you go down to the internet/games room past the shops? If you'd carried on past there you'd have come to the gym
Hi
Thank you for replies, I was hoping to be able to go before breakfast.
have just found out that the conrad is now owned by the coral sea imperial resort don`t know what changes they will make.
Just wondered if anyone has used the foreign exchange desk there and if the service was ok.
Thanks in advance for any help,
Mike
I haven't but my Mum uses the bank at the Conrad to exchange currency every time she visits so I assume it's fine

We used this when we were there and no problems at all, There is also a hole in the wall where you can put notes in and it will change them for you.
Hope you enjoy your holiday we certainly did when we were there.

When Coral take over the Conrad I wonder what will happen to the Italian Blu Club? There are no Italians at the Holiday Village and the Coral Sea resort so if it becomes exclusive to First choice it may mean there will be some good deals.
The hole in the wall will only take old style 20s - but it is great as you get notes back that are in very good condition Reception was fine for changing small amounts or the new 20s

Once again thanks for the info and the pictures, we can't wait for Nov to come now! We have seen on some mail that people have said that the rooms are a little bit dirty and look jaded, can anyone tell us the best rooms to try for and is it worth trying to upgrade our room on arrival. Any pictures of the rooms would be great thanks, roll on Nov 17th !!!!!!
I've been twice and had the same room both times (3131 looking out over the beach). Yes, it was a bit on the tired side but I can honestly say this did not detract from the enjoyment of the holiday one little bit (I actually requested the same room so it can't have been that bad ).
Hey Pippy thanks for the pics we really enjoyed looking at them, makes us want to be there now! but we can wait (just!). Do you think that if i e-mail the hotel that i could request a certain room, we are going on a package deal and thought that they may just be kind enough to accomodate us.
http://www.holidaytruths.co.uk though, it may just help as they are aware how many people read the forum and post reviews when they return from their hols

It's worth a try, worked for me! Do mention you're a member of Pippy
Worked for me as well and got special treatment and little gifts!!
I asked for quiet rooms and had 3014/5 in the new block which were great for us , right on the quiet pool (my elderly mother was with us)These are the refurbished rooms and were lovely , big and very clean
However went and had a look at Pippys rooms and if its views you want then they are fantastic
Lally
Yep! This was our view.lallygirl wrote:However went and had a look at Pippys rooms and if its views you want then they are fantastic
Just outside the door are steps straight onto the beach.
Pippy and all do you think The Conrad will change much when coral sea resorts take over 1/1/09? I am a little worried about it though, they can`t remove this hotel from a lovely setting!"

Hey Lally,
Can I just clarify, do you mean it will ONLY take old £20 notes, or that it takes all note denominationes, but for £20 they have to be the old style?
If it's the latter, I'll just take it all in £10 notes!
Thanks Garry and Pip too
I don't really know anything about them tbh but I do know the CSR also gets good reviews so if I were you I'd not worry too much.melandmark wrote:Pippy and all do you think The Conrad will change much when coral sea resorts take over 1/1/09?
It is the great beach and snorkelling which appeal to me, the Conrad has (according to people who've stayed in many Sharm hotels) the best beach of almost any hotel in Sharm. Being a relatively old hotel it has the benefit of being built on one of the best plots! Snorkelling the house reef is amazing!
As you say, they can't change the location
