Hi All
Well in my final week :-( and tans coming on nice.... we had hottest day of the year yesterday and luckily we've managed to get a breeze today!!
Hotels still fab, not much changed apart from you can tell it's half term because I heard the hotels full!!! and yes there's lots of English people here, I haven't really seen many italians etc they must keep them selves to themselves!
First night of new arrivals, meant it was jam packed and yes the sunbeds did get taken round the pool, so we headed for the beach instead !
You lot aren't going to elieve how beautiful the sea is and how blue!! The fish are amazing and they even made an appearance right to the shore yesterday!
If any of you have seen a picture of the jetty, that's practically how far you can walk out to sea with it even touching your chest, it's soo shallow and the sea is soo warm! then there's a big 20ft drop where all the beautiful fish are... it's still crystal clear though!
We have been making trips into Namma Bay so haven't eaten in the restaurant a few nights now, not that it isn't good, but I'm missing my chips and burgers... so have been to Hard Rock Cafe a few times. We get on the Conrad bus which costs 75p each way so that isnt bad! Hard Rock Cafe is so cheap, it costs 2.30(pounds) for burger and chips and you get huge portions... they usually start dancing so it's great if you have kids and fancy a change.
We went to next doors Baron hotel last night to their italian, Bella Vista... it was fantastic and they cook it right in front of you.
I have to say stay clear of the imports, I think the rep said they have to pay 300% tax on imported goods and a bottle of italian wine was 55quid (oouch) needless to say we stuck to the beer!
Entertainements improving by the night, I think the more in demand they are the more they try to entertain!
The waiters are really nice, I was behind the bar helping them make cocktails last night (and making myself one without half a bottle of vodka in - like they do lol)
You really are going to enjoy it here, it's nice to see more kids this week and they all seem to be enjoying themselves!
Off on a half day boat trip tomorrow to see dolphins and turtles, it was only a tenner and that includes snack and drinks!
I robably wont get chance to speak again before my return so, speak to you all when I'm back in sunny england
I have a few questions regarding the hotel bus...
What time does the last bus depart the town in the evening?
Is it easy to spot?
Do you need to book your journey in advance or do you just wait for one to turn up?
Thanks!
Philippa
shackle it's so nice to hear from you, sounds like you are having a great time, your regular updates have put our mind at ease, enjoy your last week, kep making the cocktails, of to do the same here at home having a bbq, hubbie's cocktails are well known round here, he might even get to make them out there in sharm, less than 1o weeks now.
Well done to Shackyl !!! after a couple of dodgy reviews i think we were all panicking but thanks to Shackyl were back on track , dont know if i can take much more excitement i just seem to be wishing the weeks away better slow them down a bit to save for spending money definently not a good saver.
The AI in the Conrad sounds as if its improving with time i suppose there was bound to be teething problems to begin with but they seem to be ironing themselves out so brilliant im extremely happy with Shackyls postings.
I got my flights to Gatwick the other day flying down the night before and can check-in then too so no queues the next day straight to departure lounge and bar.

If you go into the hotel reviews Kasa1 has written the bus times last one from Naama she says is midnight not bad i suppose if you go into town early, also tells you to book at reception.
Debs
Midnight is plenty late enough for me, I'm not one to lie in on holiday, like to be up bright and early and not waste a single second of the day!
Sorry if this is off topic but is it true that you don't need your visa stamped at the airport unless you are going outside Sharm?
Thanks
Kerry x
