On the topic of the animation team we received conflicting opinions from staff members regarding the return of Sameh and Ahmed.
It is strongly rumoured that Ahmed will be back in the very near future. Sameh is a possibilty, although earning a bit as a DJ, but is missing Ahmed (who has left Sharm already).

As has Sherif the front desk manager.

Be excellent if Ahmed & Sameh return.

Can anyone who has come back on the Taba /Manchester flight with XL, Please tell me which row the exit seats are over the wing. Looking to prebook some legroom.

That will all depend on what type of plane is used. When you book extra legroom you won't need the seat row, unless you really want to be over the wing. But XL will be able to tell you that.

If anyone wants to know, Nour, who had left the Coral for Sharks Bay, has now left there too. Waiting for confirmation of where he's gone, but I think it's Luxor.

Edit: Just had text from Wendy. Nour is now at Hilton Luxor. Sherif Nassar is leaving the Fayrouz next month for Hilton Dubia
Shame we might not see them again, but good for them if that's what they wanted.

Kamel is in hospital in Cairo. He's having his appendix out tomorrow.

Long time no read or add message - apologies. Have spent a long time catching up with all the coming and goings as shown on the previous 50 or so pages and my poor brain is buzzing. Actually am guilty coz have been backwards and forwards to Egypt several times but not to Nuweiba. I'm popping back out next week but off to the Hilton Plaza at Hurghada which means I still won't manage to get up to the Coral to see my few remaining friends there but I'm absolutely sure that the beauty of the place will never change so that when my life sorts itself out and I head back there, it will be like going back home again.

Booked - going home on 15th Sept on a countdown now just cannot wait

Right, first things first. I am now on holiday in England, having left "home" a couple of days ago.
No need to tell you what a great time was had, as usual.

Kamel: Dr Hany diagnosed appendicitus in the early hours of Tues 17th June. He (Kamel) was rushed to Cairo, the hospital agreed on the diagnosis. Kamel then texted me to say he was having his op Thursday morning. However, after the normal tests (before op) on Weds things weren't quite right so more tests were needed.
After ultrasound tests (Hany said "sonar") a large kidney stone was found, and he is now staying in hospital for another 10-12 days to hopefully disperse the stone without an operation. Good news

Staff: A lot of new faces, especially reception. A lot of regular faces missing, but we were told they were on vacation. I was told Kamel was on vacation until I said "no he's not, he's in hospital". They would then say "oh you know". I was told Jasmin was on vacation, but she has actually left the hotel. Hende was not there "on vacation?", but not sure about her as she didn't return when I was told she would.
Ashraf, Amr, Walid (with glasses) were all "on vacation". The other Walid that was on reception is now a Thomson rep at the hotel.
Sorry but I can't be more definite about other staff.
Met the new front desk manager, Aly Hassan. He knew my name as soon as I commented that he's got Nour's old job! He has a very strong handshake He's is very jolly and pleasant, could turn out to be another Nour.
The new food and beverage manager also introduced himself. He also follows the Coral staffs friendly attitude. Wagdy is still there, but I can't comment any further unless you already know about his future.
Because most management were on vacation (and are definitely returning), I can't say about who is on vacation and who has left.

Hotel: A few nice changes have taken place around the hotel grounds since I was there in March. Large pots with shrubs have appeared in places. Recycling pots have been installed around the grounds.
A swimup bar has appeared between the poolbar and fountain. Mostafa has been seen regularly clambering out the poolbar window to get down to it to serve!
The showers on the beach now have new heads with chains to replace the taps. These chains have to be held down for water to cut down on wastage.
A large triangular sunshade has be installed between the vitamin(?) bar and the poolbar, to give shade to tables and chairs between the two bars.

How long are you away for Dolphin?
And what was the story about new dolphins off the hotel beach?

That new swim-up bar could prove to be a very popular spot..!

You know the bar Alan. If you stand at the stage looking at the pool bar, the vitamin bar is 90 degrees to your left. Always been there. It's the fruit juice bar.

I am in contact with Kamel, will pass on your best. At the moment there's no credit on his phone, but his wages (and any tips) are being sent to him. Hany will be able to update you.

Dolphins were feeding just outside the swimming area rope.
