Food is still very good, more meat then somebody posted on this thread which worried me but good selection while i was there. Italian is snack bar in day time to stop people going into rest soaking wet.

Good idea to stop people going in the restaurant wet.

People can still go in the restaurant the snack bar is an alternative - we were there at Xmas and used the snack bar every day for lunch, but we could have gone to the restaurant. Food in the snackbar is cooked to order and is excellent.

Nicki, I was watching a flock of gulls zigzagging across the sea. They then started circling just outside the roped off swimming area. The sea just erupted with bubbles and fish, and the gulls started dive bombing them.
Ahmed ran down the beach to me, pointed (with a circular movement) and shouted "dolphins".
I saw all the bubbles and fish jumping, but didn't actually see any dolphins breaking the surface.

It very well could have been dolphins feeding "bubble net" fashion.

It would be so fantastic if some new dolphins began to visit.

Who is on the animation team nowadays?

Motasem was there when we were there at the beginning of June. He was about to go home for his break, so I guess he must be back now?

The animation team while we were there were, Sharif, Tarik, and someone who called themselves Eminem! Luckily he went home a week into our holiday.

Are there any tables outside the blueblue for the smokers to eat and smoke.

There are some tables on the verandah, often used breakfast and lunchtimes - but I'm certain you could have one in the evening.

Oh, and it's often a bit smoky there already, from the BBQ station

Apparantly there are a few tables and chairs (the same type as in the pool bar) around the corner near the disco. Waiters don't usually serve out there, so you will have to get your own drinks, cutlery, etc.

As soon as Wendy had finished her dinner inside, she took her drink outside! You can still smoke at the Casa. The Abou is no smoking too, but you can always sit outside.

Is Ahmed the massuese still at the Coral Hilton? On TA a review mentions Abou the masseuse!!

Cosmetic changes mostly - some new signs, kids club where down to earth was, new Shisa den on the south beach, Pepsi machine machine with cold drinks in the beach bar. Better mattresses on the sunbeds now, Casa Pesto is a snack bar 11am - 9pm. New swim up bar; which doesn't get much attention from the staff. A few staff changes - but as one told me the Hilton chain is a good training ground and they can move on to better roles elsewhere, many expect to see us next year though.

An all new interent cafe and Hilton gift shop is being built near the Shell disco. some of thenother shops have different owners now, including a new beauty parlour. Massage room (& there seem to be about 4 masseurs touting for business) is now in building 3.

For the first time in ages the Gatwick flight was delayed yesterday - by 5 hours, so we turned up for the 2pm pick-up and all got sent back to the pool, beach, bar with full all-inclusive until 7pm. Result! But got home rather late.
