Returning to Salou this July. Staying i Cap Salou with partner and 2 girls ages 12 and 11. Last time we took them to Salou they were 3 and 2. Thats back in 2003, thats because prices just shot up, in Salou which stopped us going really. The euro just seemed to kill it. We had been going to Salou since 1998, before we had our girls. So I look forward to seeing how it has changed and look forward to revisiting Portavetura and Aqualpolis but know also what trips to avoid (Reps)lol.
We have stayed in Cap Salou before, so know we are stuck out a bit but to be honest we didn't want to be in the heart of Salou.
Any info on buying tickets for the above parks, cost of the bus most welcome?
How is The Black Bull Oh an The Happy Drinker going? Used to head to the beach each day, pop in The Happy Drinker for a toastie and watch Only Fools And Horses all day Never made it to the beach!
We are going to Salou on the 20th September for a week, there is 10 of us going (47 to 1 year old) I have found a good deal on olotels.com for Best Oasis Hotel, has anyon used this site before? If so, did it go ok? It is asking me to pay in euros which I am finding difficult, it has requested that I wire the money over but my bank will only let me type in sterling. I have written to the site but had no reply yet. Any help will be much appreciated.
Thank you. Sue
Hi Sue ... the website registration and the website itself show a London address, but perhaps not for personal callers as it appears to be a terraced house in Hackney. I can't find any previous mention of the company on HTs, but there is some negative feedback about them on the London board of another well known travel site. If you want to reach a wider audience outwith the Costa Dorada chat topic, it may be worth posting in DIY Holidays to see if anyone has any experience of the company, as they do claim to book hotels worldwide.
http://www.siestaholidays.co.uk and book the CYE apartments right in town ect....and get a cheap flight from ryan air....I did check your dates but only 2 rooms left....the siesta site are only offering "our choice" appartments and dont know where they could be.....you could try googling best oasis and see if siesta do it...Ive used siesta loads of times so know its OK....tweetie
HI...Iwould be weary wiring money for a holiday to someone I didnt know a lot about....you have no safe guard....if you use a visa you at leaste have some protection....do they not accept visa....if not my warning bells would be even louder.....wired money is ready cash that can just dissappear....you have no way of recovering it if things arent right or go wrong......we hear of many problems with internet holiday firms...but atleaste they are well known and take visa....If I wanted to go salou I would use Lloyds have now started international payments. I used it just this week. The exchange rate was fair enough as well. However, sounds like it might be a bit of a risk if the company haven't got good reviews.
