Thanks alot for your advice and suggestions. I know it sounds risky that's why I thought I better come on here and ask for experience. It seems strange that they are registered in London and yet want me to pay in euro's too.
Although the price is £200.00 cheaper than other places, I don't think it is worth the risk. I lost £2000 through Crown Currency and I am not prepared to do the same again. I think I will give it a miss.
I will look at Siesta but like you say, alot of the websites don't have the availabilty any more. I will look at Cye Holiday Centre again, I quite liked the look at it, it was just that we could get A/I at the Oasis and we have been there before and it is a nice hotel. Oh well, I'll keep looking.
Thanks again for all your help.

hi sue....why not do a DIY...cheap ryanair flight...they go everyday from lpool...but dont know which airport your near........and contact the hotel you want direct and see if there are rooms available....its a cheap bus from airport to salou....tweetie
Has anyone heard of Lastcheck.co.uk? They are part of the Onholiday Group, not sure where I have heard of them before but I have. They also have my hotel available at a decent price but again unsure whether to book with them or not.
I have emailed the hotel for a price but they have not replied yet.
Thanks again for your help and advice.

It might be worth posting there to ask for any recent experiences.
They have also been mentioned a few times in various resort forums.

Thank you David, I had a look at the reviews, they seem ok. To be honest, I have used Holidaynights before, which where fine and they are part of the same group, so I have gone ahead and booked with Holidaynights, plus I got cashback too.
We're thinking of booking a Salou hotel, does anyone know do flights from Liverpool fly to Reus airport and what is the average taxi fare to Salou from the airport?
Taxi fare from reus airport to salou is aprox 40 euros.....we used the bus last time....goes quite often and right outside airport ....cant remember how much but much cheaper....and serves most of the hotels...can pay a return and arrange your pick up for coming back too...tweetie
There are also bus reps at the buses with yellow over jackets on who speak English who will also help you.
Hope this helps
hi dragonbev.....they are the ones we used....brilliant....tweetie
I hate transfers and everywhere else we tend to book private transfer or a taxi but this is so convenient and so fast - the longest we've been on the bus is approx 35mins!! My mam is 73 and so I always try and make things as easy as possible when there's just the 2 of us (if we sneak away without hubby!) and even she tells everyone how quick easy and (in her words) 'safe' it is!!!
But if you still don't fancy using the bus the taxi's are also outside the terminal and I can only report what I heard in our hotel - the fare was 35euros one way. This is only what I was told so I can't guarantee the price.
Hope you sort the holiday out - we really enjoy it out there
Thanks, Tweety, appreciate it.
Hi hubby and I are doing a bit of research into this years holiday. We've fancied a hotel in Cambrils, called Estival Centurion playa. It looks good but just wandering what kind of resort Cambrils is. We don't want anything too busy as we'll be taking our 5 month old daughter with us, but would like to have a few shops, bars to visit. Thanks.

We've stayed in Cambrils and it's a really nice resort and much quieter than Salou. Salou is easy to get to by bus.
Good to hear Luci Well I've just booked . Not somewhere we had originally thought of but there you go. I hadn't even heard of the resort to be honest. I'm quite excited now and have already placed an order for a pair of sandals for myself, and 2 sun suits for the baby

It looks nice Marlou!
Good price too which is even better Good as it's a thomson platinum we will be first or second drop off, so that'll be good for the baby.
