Hi Phil,
If you can read this.............YOU`RE TOO CLOSE TO THE COMPUTER!!
Phil, stay away from the tow path for goodness sake........cycle near fields of cotton wool for now and build up to the tow-path! Even then wear your water wings at all times!
That aside, get well soon...........the emoticons are waiting for you!
TonyW
How can I thank you all for the uplift you all give Dad ?
he radiated when I read out the messages to him.
No Kate, it is not the same tow path he fell off if thats what you mean, nor will he be allowed to forget the 'Coven' for quite a while, we did think of tieing him down with wet bed sheets, but thought he might like it. -
After I send this, I will look for the reviews and photo's, Thank you JennyL for the info.
Kate is much better than this than me, but after all this I may become an expert.
Phil has obviosely passed on his sence if humour to you girls , but wet bed sheets!!!!! hot or ice cold?
kate
Get well soon Phil. Your presence has defintely been missed on here.
Just received my letter from Stan the man at DE. Due to hurricanes etc blah blah no cruises until late 2006 or even 2007. What do I do? It's a long time to wait. Apparently someone will be in touch to offer me an alternative holiday, an amount of money or other alternatives. Cruise capacity limited etc. How can it be when the paper is full of adverts? Even the cruise I have been allocated is still available with NCL.
Maureen, the good thing is that you are going to get a cruise! From memory, the cruise period was extended to the end of 2005 - when did it get extended to 2006/2007? Is this allowable? It may be an idea to pose this question to HT's legal eagles.
The original cruised period was for September 2004 to May 2005 and it would appear that this is being changed to 2006/2007! Two full years later!
The latest one in a long line of such stories is to do with the Daily Mail. If you collected something like a 100 tokens you could get a free dinner-service. Surprise, surprise readers are reporting that there are long delays in getting receiving the items, "due to overwhelming demand"! You would have thought that somebody, somewhere would have sat down and tried to figure out how many readers would respond to such a promotion and plan accordingly.
You should stick out for a cruise, not vouchers, not alternatives etc!
There is no reason why you cannot have a cruise so long as you are flexible, even if it means waiting.
Hang on in there and insist you have a cruise and nothing else! Some people will be giving in, having had enough of the whole debacle , but you have our support and we'll stay with you to the bitter end!

My only concern really is that everyone gets a cruise sooner rather than later! To my knowledge, no one has received a confirmed cruise for 2006 yet!
Hang on in there all of you!
It will be interesting to hear what 'the alternatives' offered will be. I will let you all know as soon as I am contacted. There was no mention of a second person price but I expect that will come in the phone call. Now where did I put that cruise brochure?
This one is going to run, but worry not we will still be here until the last person has sailed.
Dizzy
Can't believe it's only 7 weeks until my cruise - at what point should I panic if I don't receive papers/forms etc??
Julie - I haven't forgotten you - I'm trying to download a photo to send to you but even my computer doesn't like my face!!! When I figure it out I'll send it to you. Are you getting excited?? I've just purchased my cruise wardrobe - cheap, cheerful and orange!!
Can any weather experts advise me on Med. September conditions? Will I need a coat/jacket or just t-shirts? Is it really cold at nights, are the cabins cold at night? Do I need flannelette nighties!! (can't even spell it).
Good luck to everyone travelling soon and to those who have been told 2006/7 - hang in there, don't let DE off the hook.

Ooops
Oh dear Magsy I hope you fallen off your chair and it was only the mention of flannelette nighties on a cruise that caused your exclamation Carol R
Thanks
Click on Cruise Reviews at the top of the page, click on the ship you want, go to the bottom of that page and there's a link which says, "Click Here To Add A Review..."
(Actually, I had written a pm to someone and published it by mistake, so had to dash in and edit it quickly!)
I was wondering about cabin temperatures too as I am a very cold person. Is the temperature adjustable and do MSC provide hot water bottles?
I feel stupid now, I'm sure that link wasnt there before, I looked half a dozen times at start and end and didnt see it, Ive got no excuses now i'll have to get on and do my review.
