If you do'nt know how to find us use the above link to go to the "Magnificent Seven" topic.(it saves us doing duplicate postings).
To anyone who hasn't obtained a cruise to show our gratiude the Magnificent Seven will help in any way we can. Feel free to pick our brains - what little there are!
This information can be found on:

The train which leaves from Terminal 1 goes to Milan Nord station in 40 minutes. The shuttle busleaves from Terminals 1 & 2 and takes 50 minutes and goes to Milan Central Station. You can see a timetable for this on:
http://www.malpensashuttle.it/mxp-mil.htm
The info on Malpensa airport seems very detailed and informative, unfortunately I'm flying in to Linate airport!!!!! Can anyone give any information about Linate please??
Thanks
Brenda
Hi Whoamy,
Brenda
linate is small and compact and only 5 or 6 km from the city. malpensa is around 60km from the city
Believe it or not I've managed to get everything in 15 kgs (Ryanair don't cater for cruisers luggage) and a small hand luggage.
Thanks to everyone here for helping me make this possible and for the reviews which have got me even more excited than I normally am before going away!
Barb Jean Steve and I will be in touch when we get back so keep the home fires burning'!
Speaking of fires it is going to be 35 degrees in Naples evidently!!!
Phil hope you're on the mend and back on line when we return and Magsy and Allisu special hello and thanks to you two for all the tips
Love to all

I know alli said the train station is only a few minutes taxi ride from the airport but I recall someone else saying that the airport is well away from the town/city.
Tony! - What I said was:
You could ignore the transfer and take the train (3 minute taxi ride from port to Genoa station) to Milan
That's the PORT,not airport! Don't worry - it get's to us all in the end!
The taxi fare to Linate is about €12 -15 or you can take a bus to either airport.

Have a great cruise and enjoy your extended stay in Pisa.
I'm glad you found alternative travel - it means you can enjoy your holiday without any worries the minute you leave home!
Alli
By the way, I've lost track of who was asking but Malpensa airport is about 50 miles from Milan centre as is Bergamo. Lanarte is the nearest to the city.
Alli.............I remember now! ....hey, I am still in the `post-cruise blues` phase so I have an excuse.
That excuse is perfectly acceptable Tony because we know exactly how you feel
I think i'm back to earth now.Yesterday was spent in the hospital having a prearranged minor op on my knee, which hopefully will take some of the pain away.I didn't even dream about my cruise while under the anaesthetic???? which was really disappointing.
Totally agree that MSC are fantastic although I haven't anything to compare them with. I would give our waiters a few medals for coping with my fussy eating......chips,chips and more chips.Alit came a close second......wheat pasta.sphagetti,fruit..........at least we kept them on their toes.Mind you the amount Kay and Raych put away each meal(duck and lobster ring any bells........2 main courses same menu each!!!!!!!!!!!!)had the poor young men always busy.
Excellent cruise girls Heh!
will pm you soon Magsy ok.

Just thought I would let you all know that I and the other HT'ers are having a great time on our Melody cruise. We are in Ibiza now and boy is it hot! I'll write a review when I get back but as others have said, those who haven't travelled yet will absolutely love it
Have a great time those of you sailing next week. As Tony wrote, go to Ayesha's talk re-leaving the ship that is if you can find the cinema! Personally, I think the ship deserved more than 2 and a half stars.

Thanks for all your info relating to the airport.
I've checked different websites and they say allow 50 minutes from malpensa to milan. From what you've told me I think I'll be waiting in the airport for about 7 hours. I'll therefore either go to Milan or I'm going to look at what other places are in the area, there seems to be some lakes and small towns closer to the airport. I'll keep trying to obtain as much info as possible then make my decision, it should be made by October.
Thanks again
Vonmac
Thanks to everyone for the excellent Melody cruise reviews - just read them all again.
Fortunately our flight on Monday morning has not been cancelled - what a relief!!
Jean and Steve
I just want to wish all those sailing next week an absolutely fabulous time. I'm sure you will all have a ball - we certainly did.
Hi all of you sailing next week can I repeat aslemma's wish that you all have a fabulous time and let us know every single detail when you get back. This forum and all the great posts make waiting to hear when I am going in 2006 almost worthwhile. Carol R
