Congratulations on receiving your tickets Kay. I hope that both you and Lily have a wonderful cruise.
luci
will look forward to hearin all about it .carol
Do you remember the Express's Win A Dream Cruise promotion a few years ago?
I think I vaguely remember it, now you mention it. The Daily Express aren't having much luck when it comes to cruises, are they?!!!
Have a fantastic time, Lilly and Kay . I'll be thinking of you basking in the sunshine as I shiver at home.
I have added my name to working lunchs list of those still waiting.
Magsy how do you go about asking for help from the holiday truth team of legal advisors? I think it is totally out of order that DE have said they will not be giving us any time scale for more information, or indeed when we will finally get these cruises.
Sorry for the delay but here are some photos from my Caribbean cruise on the NCL Dream, 12th - 19th November 2005.
Have a good cruise, Lilly and Kay.
Well done Lilly & Kay,
By the way Hoover solved their problem by chartering aircraft - surely something the Express will have to reconsider.
He posted on these boards and emailed me and a few others back in February offering his help and expertise to claim the cruise we were entitled to. By that stage I had my cruise booked but with the lack of movement recently it may be a good time for those still waiting to get in touch to see if he is still willing and able to help. I am sure his reputation alone would put the wind up the Daily Express!
His contact details are still on page two of the useful links, email addresses and phone numbers thread. http://www.holidaytruths.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=19279&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=20
I was following a link to the work that Harry Cichy did for the Gallo 'free flight' punters last week - but everything seemed to have been taken down!

I really think that something or someone should stir the DE into fulfilling the contracts and the promises they made. They should be keeping us informed, not this useless "in the hands of Directors'" what does that mean? the situation has remained unchanged with the same message for months now. I for one would like to know what steps they are taking to resolve this unacceptable situation, my patience for one is running out.
In April they devoted a page to the experiences of a punter who tried to get sense out of R*** T*****. I haven't heard of anyone writing in as a result of that feature.
Anyone recall anything?

Raych, I just wish there was some way that everyone could get together, sign a petition and get this settled once and for all. If something like that doesn't happen, then my fear is that one by one people will give up and that! There must be something we can do!
I think andylou is correct in her assumption that the DE is draging its heels in the hope that we will all go away if kept waiting much longer!
I have had problems with letters actually being delivered to the DE. I have checked the address and it is the correct one. I wrote on 1st November and sent it by recorded delivery. I kept checking on the Post Offices "Track and Trace" site, but each time was told very politely "come back later." On 23rd November I rang the helpline and was told that as it was now over 15 days-the letter would be deemed "lost!"
I wrote again on 23rd November and sent it 1st class recorded delivery. And guess what? It is happening again!!! I sent off another letter by recorded delivery that day (to an address in Leeds/nothing to do with this topic) and that was delivered very quickly. So what is happening? Anyone else having this trouble?
Mary
They certainly dont seem to want to have contact with anyone at the moment do they.
what about lobbying MP's - that might help?!
I think I may have mentioned this before but isn't there a Minister for Consumer Affairs?
There is Magsy - I wonder if anyone has contacted him/her? I will look into it!!
(Someone left the windows open )
Very good wishes etc to Lilly and Kaye have a good one.:pele :pele :pele I also hope that the flight and ship 'Rise' to the expectations of all.
Hi Magsy
Nice to see you are back Magsy, I'm off soon (funny arm by the way the coven are behaving) - 'What we getting for Christmas Dad ?' suttle my lot, just about as suttle as a plane crash
Minsiter for affairs, Oh ya, sorry I was thinking of Minsiter of Affairs, Alan Clarke, David Mellor, John Major and David Blunket and all the 'back to basics lot'. mind you it would ahve to be basic with John Major and Edwina Curry eh ! Mind You John Prescot and Margeat Becket now theres a thought, or Dawn Premadona and Boris Johnson It does give flight to thought though.
Getting back on topic, how about a protest at the D.E. ? or a blockade of the offices ? Perhaps if we were to contact 'Working Lunch or Watchdog and advice them of our intended action
Answers on the usual £50 note to Luci or I (got to keep her sweet)
