As you probably know this depends totally on the amount of drop-offs on your coach and the length of time it takes the rep to round everyone up at the airport. I would guess you are likely to be about 2 hours on average. I'd get a taxi!

We also went to Ovacik in October, and also went on a coach with other holiday makers. Took 55 mins without using the tunnel, including all the stop offs and only 45 mins returning using the tunnel.
I have never known it to take 2 hours, plus if the coach is going to Hisaronu, Ovacik and Olu, you should be the first to be dropped off anyway.
Depends how much a private transfer is, but I was more than happy with the transfer time!! I went to Hisaronu in 1989 and then it did take almost 2 hours but the roads are much improved now.
It was a really short tranfer imo.
Hope this helps
Sue
its very rare that a tour coach susien makesthe journey with drop offs in that sort of time most take about 1 1/2 hrs + i would always reccommend a private transfer it takes me driving my car 50 mins and i drive like a turk but its all according the amount of flights and where the drop of are
I totally agree with Maverick about the travelling times, direct to Ovacik is just under an hour depending on times and traffic congestion, on a coach depending on drop off points could take considerabley longer, so 2 hrs + to Olu deniz is not unheard of.
The new tunnel at Gocek between Dalaman and Fethiye / Ovacik / Olu Deniz has probably knocked about 10 or 15 minutes off the journey time.
The beauty about a private transfer is that you are not waiting around for countless other people to board the coaches and the drop off points, which of course if you are going to Olu Deniz is the final destination for coaches, so it goes without saying that Olu Deiz is also the first point for collections back to Dalaman Normally being collected 4hrs before your plane is due to leave, then Hisaronu then Ovacik and anywhere else that is en-route,
A private transfer this year will cost between £ 35 and £ 40 up to 4 people, ( one way ) a taxi is quite a lot more expensive, and if anyone is interested, I am again arranging transfer with a reputable travel company for that particular area,
Cheers Kev
hi everyone thanks for your reply the hotel picked us up last year and other years weve always used hamish mcturk 35 pounds for a mini bus as theres 6 of us always found this good might try my luck with the coach this year maybe and if its bad book a taxi for the return just hope theres not to many drop offs
you wont go far wrong with hamish i use him alot and have no problems recommending him to anyone he is always reliable thats for sure hes web site is on my links under general on my web site
most definatley agree maverick57uk have used him a few times for transfers and also some trips never had a problem with any always booked the transfers through his website and the taxi has always been waiting for us at the airport first class service
A taxi from the airport to Ovacik should only cost 100TL, and you can barter with them too (got one knocked down to 70TL once). I don't think that's bad - certainly no dearer than England.
Well worth it.
