ok, thanks for that rwb46, i will make sure i look out for it in october!
Sorry if this has been asked before - couldn't find it anywhere. Is it cheaper to buy cigs/spirits at Gatwick on departure or Dalaman on arrival? Any idea of prices for 200 menthol cigs/bottle of bacardi?
Thanks.
Thanks.
Im Flyin From Manchester To Dalaman And I Was Just Wondering If It Would Be Easier To Get My Vodka (2 bottles for 15 pounds) from Manchester Airport?

When we went in May you could buy 3 x 200 cartons of ciggies on per person on arrival at Dalaman, we bought Superking Blue and for 600 it was just under 120 YTL, didnt look at the Vodka at the airport as had bought it at Teesside before we left, in Olu Deniz a bottle (not a litre) of Istanblue Vodka was 20 YTL
Hope this helps

can any one tellme if i would be better getting duty free in manchester, on flight with onur air, or a duty free on entering turkey?

Get your DF's in Manchester. They have offers on, so take advantage. Spirits in Turkey are very expensive, so if you are going s/catering. take some with you for the evenings. Even the Hotel staff will buy the D/F's from you.
(As a guide, Jack Daniels is €17 for a 1L bottle at the D/F shop in Bodrum)

I bought a 1,000 pack of Superkings with Onur Air on flight to Dalaman,85 euros,or £65, 2 litres Smirinoff Vodka,£18.
We are flying from Manchester with Onur Air to Dalaman is it best to buy cigarettes duty free in Manchester or on the plane also any ideas on the price of regal kingsize and silkcut.
Cheaper with OnurAir,I can only remember the price of Superkings which I bought,£65 for 1,000.
dochertycrew, Tell us what brand your looking to buy and I will tell you if they have them onboard I also have the prices of them all.
regal kingsize and silkcut purple
Note prices are in euro's so get euros or you will pay more if you use sterling or lira, regal kingsize 200 = 19, regal kingsize 400 = 36, (regal kingsize 1000 = 85 <<<Available only on departure from Turkey).
Silk cut Purple 200 = 19, Silk cut Purple 400 = 29
Silk cut Purple 200 = 19, Silk cut Purple 400 = 29
I bought my 1,000 pack of cigarettes on flight going to Turkey with Onurair, not on the departure from Turkey!.
Crispy, Had you read the Inflight Duty free catalogue called Shoponair supplied by Onur Air it clearly states Available only on departure from Turkey that applies to Regal King Size only, This would sugest to me that they are the most popular selling brand hence why they state this in the magazine!
My friend flew with onurair in june and he bought 1000 regal king size going to turkey.
Always bought my 1000 cigs on the way into Turkey, as you are only allowed 200 on way back (officially!)

Just arrived back today flying with Onur.
Lambert/Butler 200 are £14.50p or 1000 for £65. Mayfair Blue or Lights just under £12 for 200

rwb46,You are right that the inflight magazine does say you can only buy 1,000 packs on return from Turkey, but when they came around with the trolley on our journey out with the packs on it to sell, who was I to argue,so I bought them.
Im off to Kusadasi in 3 weeks time and was wandering what duty free allowances i can purchase at the airport, more interested in alcohol than fags and also perfume.
Thanx
