Hi,

We arrived back from es cana yesterday and I have to say I found it extremely quiet. Most of the hotels have closed down and people were being moved from other hotels into the Miami where we were staying. As someone else mentioned there are very few bars open and Charlies was closing down on Friday night. Buses and water taxis were still going but the glassbottom boat had finished and things like the banana boat also finished up early. This was the Scottish School holidays and it is only going to get quieter and I really feel for anyone going out this week.
The weather when we were there was quite good but with some cloudy days but the day we were leaving it was very overcast and quite cold.

we went half term week, oct 22 to 29th,and yes some places were closing down, but every where we wanted to go was open, the boats and buses were running as usual, the hippy market was on,difficult to get ice creams from the bars as they had wound stock down, but so what.we had a laugh one day on cala nova beach at the beach bar when they completly ran out of lager, and i showed the kids up by exclaiming loudly "" as if,how can you run out of lager"especially when they offered san miguel zero i.e. alcohhol free, i mean im in ibiza    but then the kids got ideas and though it would be a good idea for them to order this at the restaurant that nite :!: :!: the kids got to go to the dodgems once, the other nights it seemed to break down then close.my eldest got some good shoe bargins (converse, cheaper than uk.) we were so lucky with the weather,if it had rained a lot,im sure it wouldnt have been the same, but we all really enjoyed our holiday in es cana and would go back asap.i did find the beaches not as tidy as in high season, but seaweed is a natural part of nature and its only people that litter.so if the price is right, take a gamble and book. mo :) :)

hi,i would recommend the es cane appartments(first choice) as es cana town is inmho very safe and there will be plenty for the girls to do.charlies bar is part of the appartment complex and this has entertainment on every night,(robbie lookalike)etc.you could be upstairs in the apartment and the girls could be quite safe downstairs as long as they sensible.es cana isnt very large so its easy to get your bearings. some may recommend playa den bossa as being good for teens, but as i havent been i can only say what i know about. mo
