My mum and dad were in Zante airport at the time it happened. They are waiting to come home (flight was due to leave at 4.15pm) and are now stuck there as the airport has lost their communication in the tower, they have been told that will be delayed for about 1 to 2 hours.
oh flippin heck daughter is due to fly home after tea, she lands back in manchester at midnight, not looking so.

No problem, i am waiting for her to back to me, said she would phone to keep me updated as i am due to pick up up at Glasgow airport.
Hopefully all will be well and there are no aftershocks.

looking at the Zakynthos departures board it appears all flights got away with 30/60 mins delay

Started to panic a bit there as i have not heard from my mum and dad yet, have sent texts and
have now tried to phone them but both mobiles are unable to take calls.
I have checked BAA website for glasgow airport and it now say's the flight is expected at 1949 so i am
guessing they are now on the plane.
Sorry wickedchris for not getting back to you as i was waiting for them to contact me but i hope that they are on the plane and just didn't get a chance to phone me

told there flight has been cancelled, and they will be put up over night in a hotel.

so sorry to hear about your daughters flight. I still have not heard from mum and dad so
just hopeing they are on the flight and i will leave soon for glasgow airport and hopefully they will

she's just rung me she is fine,
some flights that should have landed, have had to go to other airports, not sure which islands though.
she's going to text me as soon as she know anything.

Their finally home, picked them up last at the airport and both looking very well and tanned.

I was in Zante during the earthquake was one of the most exciting things ive experienced!! Has caused havok with departures/arrivals though now.
