Hello, I am due to fly with Easyjet on Easter Sunday with my young child who has special needs ( autism and ADHD). We have obviously informed Easyjet of his disabilities, but this is the first time that I have, as we usually just get on with things and the journey is very hard.
He gets very anxious about the whole travelling bit, but he loves the holiday itself. What help should I expect at the airport from Easyjet?
Regards
I suggest that you should ask Easyjet for SPECIAL ASSISTANCE for either your party or just you and your child which means you will board with early after those who have paid to board first so you can choose a seat and get your child settled.
It might be helpful if you could explain everything that's happening around him - running commentary - and perhaps the cabin crew might just chat to him a bit once they've got into level flight mode. You know your child best, and can encourage him to read/watch a DVD if you have a portable player/play a game, and of course perhaps buy something from the onboard kiosk in the way of a snack or a drink.
http://buyonboard.easyjet.com/ for food and drink - to see if there are any personal favourites or whether you'll have to bring your own snacks .... though sometimes not all food is carried or certain items might have run out before the trolley gets to you ...
http://www.easyjet.com/EN/Flying/inflightmagazine.html for the inflight magazine to see if there's anything in the way of pictures or games that might be of interest to your child
Easyjet flights for March 2012 are now published and bookable on the website
I know for certain that one of my party wont be traveling on a Easyjet flight Manchester-Malaga at a peek time.I understand, please correct me if I am wrong I would have to rebook everybody to try and take any advantage of the missing person/flight
take advantage ? Even for solo passengers there's often little point in trying to get a refund of lower early booking prices due to the admin charges. To take somone else it would be a name change, that will also cost but may be worth it if it is peak flight - and should be possible within the existing booking.
what do you mean Just wanted to point out that for some people booking via Nectar and using your Nectar points can be advantageous despite the £7.00 booking fee that Nectar charge.
We booked flights from Edinburgh to Basel in September and saved ourselves a bit of money using Nectar points. It would appear that the "add ons" are significantly cheaper using Nectar. Obviously this may not be the case on all flights.
For example, if I had booked direct with Easy Jet I would have paid £50 for two hold bags (£25 each) and £32 for speedy boarding (£16 each). Whereas via Nectar I paid £36 for the hold bags (£18 each) and £20 for speedy boarding (£10 each).
My total booking via Nectar was £147.96 plus the £7 booking fee compared to £173.96 if I had booked direct with Easy Jet
good info - thanks. I think you will find the Nectar booking fee (£7) is also less than Easyjets booking fee (£8). Easyjet dont charge if you have electron etc - cards that most people no longer have !

I found this interesting, we are going on a touring holiday and the tour operator has done all the booking with Easy Jet and i could not do anything online myself so when I phoned them to pay and was asked if they could do anything else I asked if they could arrange speedy boarding they came back £20 cheaper than direct to Easyjet !!!
Hello... Can anybody offer some advice. Off to Turkey in August with ej. If a I wanted to take a child's fold up scooter, how could this be done? If it can be done at all???
However, if neither of these is an option then I think that you're stuck and it will ahve to be elft at home - unless you can convince EasyJet that it's a piece of sports equipment because different rules apply! But to put your mind at rest, the best idea is probably to check direct with EJ themselves.

Can anyone remind me how to add API to and Easyjet booking please? I booked ages ago and can't remember if I added it at the time. Checking my confirmation it reminds you that you need to go to manage bookings, but I can't see anywhere to add it, and I can't tell if I already have added it! Flying on Monday. Thanks.
If you havnt it should flash up on your booking page for you to add them Pat . Sounds like you have already done it
Thanks Lyn - I didn't get any reminder, so I presume I must have done it...their website is not the best however.
I dont even think there is a way of confirming you have done it Pat. From memory the system only tells you if you havnt .
Thanks Lyn - yes, off to Krakow again!
Decided to phone and check, and I have already provided the info....I booked in October, so no wonder I had forgotten!
I usually only do it as I'm about to print off the boarding cards . The more confident I become with travel the slacker I get
want to check in for both flights
return flight time has changed by a 1 hour, so says disrupted , iam not changing the flight , so says I do not have to do anything
when i ask to print all the boarding cards out i can only print the outbound cards out, it still says return flight disrupted and will not let you board and tells you
to go back to my bookings, when you do this if not changing flight you do not have to do anything?
either they still haven't fixed the time of the flight and what youa re lloking at is the current hoped for.
or, you are too early for online checkin.
also what do you need to do if you check in online with your hold baggage and the pushchair? many thanks la
