Hi
can anyone recommend a good skin exfoilateor? If you exfoilate twice a week makes your tan last longer so im all for that.
Thanks
What I think would be the best thing is some kind of mitt, like the kind they use in turkey for the turkish baths, now they really do exfoliate!
Hi, I've got an Original Source one which I find pretty good and effective.
You can always buy the 50g small tub,(to try out,) before you invest in the large 200g size.

Inecto Coconut one £1.99 for a nice big tube from Home Bargains. Smells really summery and has lots of the exfoliating beads as well.
I always get exfoliated the day before i go on holiday at my local beauty salon. She also sells exfoliants, Algiotherm, and those mits, bit expensive, but I'm worth it
Thanks for your replies Ive just had a look at the body shop website they have loads of flavours to choose! i havent been in the body shop for years it is quite expensive now it im gonna go in town and smell them tomorrow
Take some sea salt ( or ordinary sugar or ordinary salt) and some olive oil, mix it in a small container to the right consistency. Hop in the shower and rub the mix gently into your skin, rinse off and pat dry with a lovely soft towel.
Has no fragrance of course, but it works a treat.

I went into body shop yesterday and bought Grapefruit Scrub, Grapefruit Body butter and a coconut lip butter and got a free mango shower gel. There are so many yummy flavours to choose from!
I'm struggling to find a decent one in the shops at the moment. I've tried Boots' Mediterranean salt scrub which is great at first - until you come to wash it off - talk about leaving a layer of oil on your skin This is also not ideal as I exfoliate so I can put my fake tan on!!!
So ladies, what recommendations have you got for good scrubs that don't strip your skin, are still abrasive and don't leave a layer of oil which you then can't get off!
Avoid the Sanctuary Spa scrub from Boots if you don't like the oil effect as its exactly the same as yours....Yuck
the Sanctuary soap scrub is good though. Does it's job & leaves skin lovely & soft without being greasy.
Lush do a really great one, it's like a bar of soap....smells divine! Linda x
If you are near a beach, sand and sea water do a great job, and the best thing it's free
Also if the sea has small atones in it sit in the shallows and gently rub your feet over them. Lovely sensation & does a great job!
I make my own with fine sea salt, baby oil and rosewater, works a treat. Then a nice body butter, i like the mango, from body shop. Leaves your skin glowing.
I like Clinique sparkle skin body exfoliator - I've used it once a week for the past 2 or 3 years and my skin is really soft.
For my legs I make my own with mild olive oil, salt and lemon juice. That way you can prepare the consistancy how you like it so you can reduce the oil if you don't like it, i actually use the salt as an exfoliator, salt has a healing effect and it helps prevent ingrowing hairs and the oil makes my legs shiny and smooth.
dead cheap Nspa (Nirvana Spa) body scrub - available from Asda for about £4 IIRC - no greasy after effect and smells nice
A lot of places like boots and Body shop are selling the exfoliator gloves at the moment , not tried them myself - I like the scrublicious range , they smell georgeous , I got mine for £5 from superdrug.
