Pleased to read your review especially since we are off to Doni Toni (hotel) this coming Saturday!
Were you half board or all inclusive?
EDIT: Morh I was all inclusive drinks only, never had lunch, maybe that's how I missed those elusive prawns!
Just thought I would let anyone know who is looking to book the Club Don Toni for next year that Thomsons have changed the child age from 15 to 12.As I have a child who will be 13 then I will unfortunatley be looking elsewhere. We really had a great time this year and are all a bit disappointed.
Good luck!
We are hoping to book again for next year but pennies are hard to find and the price has shot up by a lot for Aug next year. Trouble is tho, just can't imagine NOT going to Ibiza! Only just over two weeks to go and getting very excited!
Can anyone confirm the child age for the All Inclusive Please ?
I am travelling with 2 teenagers of 16 and 17. The website says the child price is up to 14 years old, but i could have sworn it was up to 17.
Any info would be great
Thanks
Child prices are up to 17 as they are not allowed alcohol on their bands.
Also, there seems to be 2 parts ie. the Hotel and the Club - what is the best one to stay in for a family of 4??
Thanks
Entertainment in the evening is held at the Don Toni Club. There is something on every night apart from Sundays.
We didnt stay in every night but some of the shows advertised were Mama Mia, Boogie Nights, Lion King, they also had Miss Don Toni and Mr Don Toni etc. etc. If you stayed in the Club you would get quite a lot of noise up until midnight. Also
that is where they have all the day time entertainment and the busiest pool is located at the Club. There is a much quieter pool nearer to the hotel but you are not allowed sunbeds there. There is a nice grassy area if you want to lie on your towel.
Hotel is kept very clean, food excellent... but the big minus is the sunbed situation, it is a total nightmare. If you go out
at 7.30am for example you would toil to get a sunbed as they have all been booked from the night before. Its a minutes walk to the beach but I think it is 6 euros for each sunbed.
I will email the hotel and request one if anyone knows which is best or even which floor is best to stay on, re: noise etc,
We would like to have some sort of sea view, so not sure if rooms towards the pool end of the hotel would be better?
Thanks to anyone with any info
We had a room on a lower floor with a side sea view. Because of the location of the hotel loads of rooms have side/partial seaviews.
Some of our family were located on the 7th floor with spectacular views.
Hotel staff were good at responding to emails so it would be worthwhile if you want to make a particular request to email them. I cant really recommend room numbers but we were very happy with our room on 2nd floor.
Hope you enjoy your holiday.
We have been to this resort quite a few times, staying at the Bahamas previously, so we know how the hotel and club are situated etc. Just wondered if anyone knew of or had a favourite room in the hotel side.
I'm not sure if I would rather be low or high. Do you know which floor the restaurant is on?
I am aware that lilo's are not allowed IN the pools, but have you any idea if they are allowed around the hotel pool, as I know there are no sun loungers there, just grass.
Anyone know the email address for the Don Toni ?
dontoni@fiestahotelgroup.com
You go down the stairs right beside Reception to get to the Restaurant.
We used the quiet pool a couple of times and quite a few people were lying on lilos.
ground floor beach level.nice Restaurant.you can eat on a outside area as well.
Thanks for the info morh and woody (hiya, not seen you for a while)
Hi all just returned from two weeks at the Don Toni Club ,really enjoyed it'though the sunbed situation was not good.Food was ok and entertainment wa good.
Appreciate all the info
You are not allowed to use lilos on the grass by the hotel pool only towels, but it is ok. We always got a bed at the club as we were usually up (well I was) by 8.30am. You can get a bed no bother by about 3.30pm as people tend to drift off and I think it is actually a better time to relax by the pool and partake in a few drinks !!!!! before dinner.
No way will we be looking for a sun lounger at that unearthly hour, we don't usually sit by the pool that much anyway. We will just use the beach I reckon.
Can't wait now, only 11 sleeps to go!!
