Hello from a long time lurker around here.. :)

Have been to the Don Toni the last couple of years and stupidly didn't read the bumf regarding all inclusive tarif's in the lift obviously!

After a fab holiday there again I've just stumbled into a Thomson's in a post holiday blues slump and booked myself and my daughter at the Don Toni for a week at the end of next July. Already counting down the weeks!

However, am humming and hahhing about going all Inclusive when we get there.. We've enjoyed wondering down to play crazy golf in the complex attached to the Fiesta hotel for the past couple of years.

Do you have to pay for your drinks there if you're all inclusive at the surrounding Fiesta Hotels?

Also, we love going to the waterpark - do we have to buy into the highest all inclusive option at the hotel to get the free kids entry?

Sorry if its been replied to already, but the all inc stuff on the fiesta site is not particularly clear.

Hi,
In answer to your 2 questions then firstly YES you have to pay for any drinks you get at the Sports bar at the mini golf. And secondly YES you have to upgrade to the PREMIUM A/I package to take advantage of the free kids entry to the waterpark. However if you have collected your Fiestis points from Reception this year then 7 Fiestis will give you free entry to the waterpark.Hope this helps.

you cannot use your bands for drinks in any other hotel.just the one you are staying at.not sure about waterpark check when you get there.plus go a/i when you check in.but check for any offers they might be doing.i know this year they are doing in palm beach last 4/5 days of your hols a/i.new crazy golf you know where the funfair is.and it is crazy

We upgraded to premium at the Don Toni in August. This allowed kids free entry to aqua park and adults half price. Only upgraded for the last 5/6 days and can assure you it was well worth the money. Saved us a fortune! We didnt want to upgrade for the full 14 days as our party wanted to get out and about.

Thanks all for the replies!

Given we spend a couple of hours playing mini golf and pool most nights I think I'll pass on the upgrade to All Inclusive..

I will buy the tickets for the waterpark from the hotel even though it gives us only a couple of euros off.. Every little helps as they say!

ps: In the two years I have been there.. a huge tray of unpeeled prawns were usually found at the bottom right end of the salad bar most Sunday nights!

yes but don;t forget thats all you can drink each day,you have to work out are you going to spend say 16/18 euro aday on buying the drinks you have.if you do over that amount each.then a/i would be best.

thats=water/pop/wine/beer/cofffee/tea/ plus that inc;s drinks with your evening meal.

Yep. I need to sit down with a calculator I think. Was kind of basing the yes to the all inc option on being able to "purchase" a couple of rounds of lager and cola for the pair of us each night..

Thanks Woody.. Any idea whether the "premium package" for the free kids and half price adults trip to the waterpark is "Premium beverages" or the "Premium food and beverage" option?? (21euros per adult/13 euros per child vs 25 euros per adult/16 euros per child??) I think we'd struggle to spend the higher rate in a day snacks or not.

oh god, am going to be hunched over a calculator for the next six months at this rate! At least I'll be easy to spot next summer wandering round the resort with a pen behind each ear and a notebook tucked into the beach bag :duh

i would just go for the 21/13 if it was me.just the drinks option.like most eat out at lunch. just a snack is all you need or make a things up at breakfast to see you through till evening time.collect fruit when its there as well.hell i do in my hotel.not tight really but for me its 7 euro(cost of a good lunch for me inc drink). x your days there saved.and i have loads of fruit in my room (fridge)...deep pockets is the trick.

this is ok for me as i never miss breakfast.best meal in any hotel in playa den bossa.

If I return to the Don Toni without a doubt I would choose the Premium upgrade (25/16). This allows you to have snacks and lunch with drinks, also drinks in the evening with nuts/crisps etc if you want. All ice cream is available in this option too. Another thing is that you dont have to pay for the hire of safe in your room as it is included in the price. Then you have the aqua park offer too! The difference between the 21/13 and the 25/16 is only a few euros.

Before we upgraded we found the drinks in the hotel to be very expensive. 1 beer and 1 coke was 7.20 euros. It was 3.30 for the beer and 3.90 for the coke (though this was the bigger size cup of coke). Also bottled water was 3 times the price of outside.

Just think about what you would spend if you were each having a few drinks whether it be tea/coffee/water/soft drinks each day and paying for lunch/snacks as well. Then say a couple of drinks in the evening. Believe me you cannot go wrong with the all inclusive option. We were kinda keeping note for the first day or two of what we would have been spending if we handnt upgraded and believe me it saved us loads. Eventually we got fed up doing the sums!!

Anyway.... you will know what is best for you and what suits your budget.

Thanks Morph and thanks again Woody. Will go for the 25/16 AI afterall given it includes the safe hire and the waterpark offer. The clincher was icecream of course.. We do tend to trough a few down over the week between the two of us and I'd completly forgotten about buying the pop with dinner.

Nice idea about the fruit but have always been far too scared to shove an apple up my sleeve for later incase the nice man stood at the entrance catches me doing it! Deep pockets may be the way forward!

Totally agree about the breakfasts being excellent. If you don't want an omlette then I'd recommend walking towards the end of the restaurant at breakfast as there is a second lot of bacon/sausage etc a bit further on and it saves you hanging around in a queue at the front.

Also, I've slept in rooms overlooking the front of the hotel and one overlooking the pool at the don toni and although being over the pool seems the better option, the afternoon sun is an absolute killer on there! Seriously.. my rinsed out bikini was almost welded to my arm after just wandering out there to tie it over the rails! I challenge anyone to sit out there reading for more than 10 minutes in the late afternoon.

Fab hotel and can't wait for next July!

When you are pondering over whether to upgrade to premium or not and doing your sums just remember:

that the safe is only free on the days you upgrade.
choices of ice cream are limited. You cant get for example Magnums.
you can have a bottle of wine with dinner!
With the premium upgrade you can also have "our brands" of spirits as opposed to local just the local brands.

It certainly worked for us as my granddaughters were able to get toasties/hotdogs/burgers etc and all the soft drinks they wanted.

Most families we met that upgraded were delighted with the deal and all agreed it saved a fortune.

I'll definitely be going for the premium AI package for the full seven days so will definitely be taking the safe offer for the duration of our stay. (just need 10 yr old daughters guidance to set and activate the bloody thing. Again!)

Magnums? Pah! Not at all refreshing in the heat! ;)

Hi,
My two kids are determined to go to this hotel for the first 2 weeks of October. We have been in July and the weather was superb. We normally go to Gran canaria in October but the kids are adamant we go to The Don toni. What can I expect that the weather might be.Seems to me that there is little to to do if there is any rain and am looking for a little advice. Thanks in advance.

well years i have been out in oct.its been fine.red hot in fact.once we had a a bad storm for 3 days days.but it was coming in reports.nice time to go.if you could make it a week before that would be better really.over lap end of sept into oct.

might just cost you a bit more/price it up and see.its only that say from the 14/15 oct some places close early.still people around but not as many.and this hotel does close around 15th oct anyway,

nice hotel.good clean.great food.loads to do when it rains anyway.fiesta reps sort that out for you.its that sort of hotel where you will not see you kids.they will make friends like they do.

not to put you off but there is a beach bar which is now private.you might get some noise from it.thats the only downside now of this hotel.plus you know you get planes flying in and out.you;re only 5 mins from airport.

price up hotel bahamas as well.which is next door.used to be fiesta but now private.thomas cook bookings.
again just as nice even better i would say.now its had a refit.good thing about fiesta is you can go into any hotel in that area.if a/i you cannot use your band though.but they do offer more other things.like eating at anynother hotel at night.so you could spend allday at another resort.they even give you a room to wash up in.book 24hrs in advance.

how old are your children any way.
any more info you might need pm me ok....ibiza since 83.last 11 years in playa den bossa.
