Reception and bar more than make up for the state of your room which honestly isn't that bad, there is a fridge and TV, the beds are clean and comfortable, you have a shower (with a curtain!), balcony. Rooms have the standard pine furniture that you almost always find in Greece.
I'm sure you will have a wonderful time.
Also comments about Diana, did you realise, Dodi's yacht was moored just off Finikounda two weeks before they were both killed. Lets hope they had a wonderful time.
We are trying to book for Stoupa in September, as we enjoyed Fini so much, but decided it was maybe a bit too soon to return.
restful holiday. nothing to do but sunbathe and eat fantastic !!!
Finnikounda Hotel nice free air conditioning a definate bonus fridge in room. Rooms a bit dark no views.
Beautiful family of cats - please please feed them if you go mum and 4 Kittens have 3 tins of go cat a day (from big supermarket at back of the church) Apparantly the people of Finnikounda poison the cats at the end of the season which infuriates me and my partner. Perhaps nutering would be a more humane way of keeping the pussy cat population down
Cant anyone educate these people to do this as Poisoning is clearly a very painful way to die!!!!
Please try the fabulous restaurant at the back of the church free starters and fruit Its very quiet though as people prefer to eat on the beach front which is such a shame as it is gorgeous food and the staff are wonderful.
its a lovely relaxed place with a view over the hills you can watch the sun set from here! Please please try it I know you wont be dissapointed.
And of course Elenaors the view and food are outstanding and the staff are all so friendly free Ouzo after your meal or a liquor (if you get chatting to them)
Giant beans are lovely salads and pasta traditional dishes are lovely too.
If your English and like English food you will not enjoy the food in Finnikounda as its all catered for the Greeks which suited us as we love Greek food.
Beaches are great we bought 2 sun loungers 35 euros each which lasted us the fortnight we left them at the Hotel for somebody else to use. A lot cheaper though than hiring one as we have done in the past at other resorts.
Great to watch the fisherman bringing in the catch of the day which more often than not were huge swordfish which were delicious cant get fresher than that!!!
eating and drinking very reasonable prices.
No one hassles you or bothers you in any way and if you want to chat they will chat.
Church bells are very loud (hotel next door to them) but you could here the singing in the church and it was beautiful.
I looked into one little house one night nd there was a women making huge cheeses on her kitchen table-that is how traditional it is!!!!
cakes shops are breathtaking never seen anything like the cakes they have.
And would I go back the answer is we have already booked for next year but this time staying in the Sonia studios opposite the beach!
How many weeks is it!!!
I you want any more info please ask.
Regards Bob.A
Finisia is the most recently built hotel in Finikounda. It is about 250 metres from the beach, close to the village church. Views from the balconies are limited by nearby buildings. Otherwise, fine.
We are going to Finikounda in August and have booked two weeks in the the Costana Studios & Apartments with Kosmar. Before this, I'd never heard of Finikounda but it looks really beautiful - does anyone have any information about this place or about the Costana Aparments?
Hi, went to Finikounda last year - loved it. Want to go again next year - does anyone know what the Sardelis studios (Kosmar) are like?
Sorry, correction to my last post about the Fnissia Hotel. It's actually right on the sea front, next to Korakakis hotel . . .
If anyone's stayed there what are your views on the place and do you have any other suggestions re apartments. The Sonia Studios are booked up so there're a non starter.
Cheers
Bev
http://www.zorba.de/ theres alot of information on that site.
Hi go on The through road which takes most traffic runs some 300 to 500 metres inland from the village and beach. Even that's pretty quiet at night. This is a quiet resort . . . not for teenagers or ravers! Though good draft beer is available . . .

Hi all. Been to Parga for the last 3 years and fancy a change next year. We have a boy (age 12). Would it be OK for him. We will probably take a friend for him. We have been to Parga in a big group so there were a few kids with us so they entertained each other but next year we are going just as a family
thanks very much for the info on the location of the Finisia Hotel. I'm reassured to hear that the road is pretty quiet as I've done a bit of research and i thought it would be - now I know!! Been to Stoupa a few times and wanted to head to another part of the region. Cheers! Bev
