Hi all, We are flying from Bristol to Bodrum Monday 9th July 9pm flight. Just wondered if anyone knows what film could be showing. I am worried the length of the flight could make the kids a bit restless! Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

Have they started to changed the outbound / inbound films on the 767's? This must be a recent thing and very welcome. Watching the same films inbound as the outbound gets a little boring on a 10.5 hour flight!

Hi Daz,

There has been some complaints regarding the same IFE being shown on both sectors. Therefore, outbound films are now be completly different to inbound films on long haul flights.

Im not too sure if all 6 x 767s have had their IFE upgraded yet but at least two of the fleet are using the above schedule now

On Star Class Premier,can you prebook a window seat or is it as allocated by First Choice????

bit of a weird question but on FC longhaul what are the letters for the aisle (window) seats? e.g. a & b etc! hope that makes sense!

Thanks for that, thats welcome news. If I had a complaint (which I didn't) about FCA long haul, its was the same IFE on both flights. I used to just save a £5 to upgrade to the premium films for the return flight for something different. I can put that towards another beer now then

As far as I know, they are allocated based on the date of booking, ie those who booked first will get the front rows, those who booked last the rear. You can't pre-allocate a window as far as I know.

See scotlad's post above, everything is listed. Your flight numbers are FCA5200/1 and the aircraft scheduled to be a Boeing 757-200. OAG lists your flight as departing at 0810 rather than 0725?

The aircraft, Boeing 767-300/ER is configured 2-3-2 so its A/B-C/D/E-F/G. Seats A and G are windows.

On my invoice it says 07.25am Tuesday 14th Aug Stansted & its FCA5200 on the outbound journey.

Still, the final say will be on the tickets when we get them.
If its later, thats another half hour in our beds

scotlad's list regarding the films etc has been removed I think

OAG is a flight schedule database which I have access to. That's known to have been wrong in the past so always go off your invoice / tickets unless instructed by the airline.

I never noticed scotlads post had beeen removed. Back to square 1 then!

something that has been bothering me for ages and I have always wanted to know.
When you are getting ready to land etc why do all the flight attendants make sure the window blinds are up.Sometimes with the ground coming at me that quick its something I would rather not see lol.

I don't know how to word this to put you at ease while explaining the reason! The blinds are required to be up because if the worst happens, you need to be able to see outside of the aircraft, assess whats going on. To give you a real scenario, an air France A340-300 overshot the runway on 2nd August 2005 in Toronto. I'll not go in to the reasons why the incident happened, it doesn't matter. When the aircraft come to rest off the end of the runway, if the window blinds were down the cabin crew and passengers wouldn't have been able to see what was going on outside of the aircraft, ie that there was fuel leaking and a fire had broken out on the port side of the aircraft. With the blinds up, all this was seen and the cabin crew were able to make an informed decision on the safest exit route; to open the starboard doors and evacuate the aircraft from the side which was clear. It was a text book evacuation in a real situation and all passengers escaped safely. The cabin crew were commended and rightly so. This is also the reason why cabin lights are dimmed for take off and landing; if the worst came to the worst, your eyes are adjusted to the dark in case you need to evacuate.

Don't panic, the above scenarios are very rare but these procedures are put in place for the safety of passengers just in case.

is it worth getting to the airport early to get best seats? are seats allocated at check in or pre-reserved for customers? going on FCA052 to montego bay.

Seats are allocated on a first come, first served basis in Star Class so get there nice and early if you want to requested a specific area of the aircraft.

As far as I'm aware, SCP is allocated on time of booking so seats are already allocated.

im flying SCP in september to dom rep and hope we get allocated window seats, im the same as you qaterman i dont want middle 3!
