For a week you should get a great deal from any of the major one such as first choice, thomson, thomas cook etc etc.

I've just booked 4 nights in Malaga over the bank holiday in May, leaving on the friday and returning ont he tuesday from Bournemouth for £75 each, which isn't bad for a Bank Holiday. That was with Thomson....www.thomsonfly.com

hi Les

if you are looking for somewhere to stay on the costa del sol take a look at http://www.sunnyspanishholidays.co.uk. We stayed there for a week just before christmas. The houses are brand new, with all the amenities you will need. They are well positioned for exploring the region, about 1 hour from Malaga and less than that from Gibralter. You would obviously need a car for the duration of your stay.If you want any more info just ask.

Regards

Sharpy

Dont know where about you live, but we always use Easy Jet, and depending how early you book, you can get flights quite cheap.
We booked last June, and got 3 return flights from bristol to malaga, for £154 !!!
Have a look at their web site.

Hi Les. As has been said before, it all depends where you live. However, these days there is a budget airline operating out of every main airport, with flights to Malaga.

Someone has already mentioned skyscanner, and that is an excellent site. If you want to look at the various budget airlines try here http://www.rentcosta.com/usefulinfo.htm as you can go directly to each budget operator by clicking on the logo. The departure airports are listed beside each link.

Of course, as with any budget operator, you will score for the cheapest flights if you book well in advance, although I know that is not always possible.

Easyjet all the way! I watch their TV programme where everyone is complaining about something or other but 99.9% of the time it's because they haven't read the terms and conditions correctly. The uniform is a bit 'orange' but the flights (and prices usually) are spot on! :D

Depends on where you live Emgin. Easyjet don't fly directly from many places. To find suitable connecting flights can be difficult, as they often arrive in London just before, or in some cases, many hours after, the departure of the Malaga flights.

Yeh I know that. Luckily I fly from Nottingham East Midlands. All I was saying is that Easyjet are good and don't deserve a lot of the bad press they get.

Agree entirely about Easyjet getting unfair criticism. The programme on the telly is filled with people complaining about trivial issues while travelling on a budget airline.

If they want first class travel they shouldn't expect to get it for a couple of quid.

Hello, I'm trying to get flight only to Malaga from Bristol on Saturday 29th July for 7 nights (returning 5th August) but the cheapest I've come up with is XL.com which comes to £1,351 for 7 of us. Easyjet were dearer at £1,553.86 or £1,733.83, depending on what time of day you flew.

Are these prices likely to come down at all, or is it best to book these as soon as possible?

Also, am i likely to get them cheaper anywhere else?!

I booked in Nov 05 with easyjet from bristol flying to Malaga in Feb06 for the 2 of us plus tax and insurance £128 return. :D

You're at the mercy of the school hols I'm afraid, so it won't be easy. Can't really see them dropping. If you book through XL though, don't forget to enter MVOUCHER in the codes box and you will receive £15 off. You may have to book 7 individual flights if you want the discount off each flight, not really sure.

Best of luck,

Robby

Robby, I checked out your voucher and it gives £13 off per person (there are 4 adults and 3 kids), so will save us £91 off the uncoded price, valid until 2010! And I can book it all in one go.

So, many thanks!! These are by far the cheapest flights for us :D
