Flight Only / Airline and Airports

Discussions relating to flight only, airlines and airports.
Hi all! Enjoyed our Flyglobespan flight so much last September we have booked from Glasgow to Sanford again this September!!

Anyone know if they will still be using the NEOS aircraft in September 08, or will they have their own aircraft back by then?

Fingers crossed they dont change our flight again like they did last year, although the upgrade to Business class was a pleasant surprise :)

Hey, brilliant - will book our seats later today :)
Further to my question above - does anyone know if we can purchase extra luggage allowance with Flyglobespan on Premium Economy?

Thanks!

Hey Flem! Brilliant!!!!

Not so happy about their new "Premium Economy" - they've just basically upped the price of Economy, as you still have to pay £25 per person for the Premium seats! Daft!!

Well, i am the daft one, cos we've paid the £25 each both ways :rofl

Cant wait! :sun2

Flem where did you get the quote for £10 for the extra Kilos. I'm getting a figure of £15 per 10kilos one way :que

Sorry, I booked mine back in September when I booked my flights, may have went up or I may have made a mistake, :( :whoops

Its more than likely the price has increased.lol. Im hoping we wont need the extra allowance anyway, hoping to bring very little away with us so that we have weight left over to bring loads back.lol

When we went last year in September, the flight home was empty (Row upon row of empty seats - people were moving and lying across the 3 seats in the middle of some rows!) - and we were sure we were over the 30kg allowance (Premium last year), but they didnt charge us.

We might have just been lucky tho, so wouldnt recommend risking it. I think i will buy a few more kgs to be on the safe side! I always end up buying more than i mean to, and we're there for 3 weeks this year so even more risk of me buying rubbish!!!

Im just hoping Flyglobespan dont do what they done last year and change our flight without telling us. We just happened to notice on the website it had changed one day!! I'd advise you check your booking every week or so just to be sure!

sorry i should have expanded on that anyone know what aircraft they are using for summer flights to Sanford from Glasgow ??

The flightplan that I filled in flying in September was widebodied with a 2-3-2 configuration so I am assuming they are using the 767.

Hi Nicola
Just checked my booking invoice for a flight to Alicante which states that I am fully protected by globespans ATOL Licence number 0701, I am assuming this is because I have booked a package (including hotel). From what I understand like most other low cost carriers if you book flight only then you are not covered by anything and this is common place.
I booked to go to Florida later on this year with Globespan as well but this time through a travel agent and I paid exactly the same as the web price so should not really work out much more for you booking through an agent.

thanks for your reply ;) ive managed to get same price through travel republic and they are abta so will probably book through them. Thanks again

Hi there just wondered if someone could answer my question. We're flying Glasgow to Tenerife in July with Globespan and was unsure as to whether they have any in flight entertainment? Also any ideas when their Orlando flights would go on sale for Summer 2009.

Thanks in advance.

They don't have IFE on their short haul flights do bring a DVD player or a good book.
