Have we closed up on here as well?? Where is everyone?
we are all still here its just no one in the u.k. is posting so nothing to reply to
The weather back in the UK is unseasonally Brilliant at the mo. So trying to acclimatize to the sun.
Beer has gone into the fridge rather than the garden and we might even sit outside
Don't think I will cancel the holiday though as it's bound to rain soon.
I do have a question though.
Whats the beer of choice out there this season?
Cheers
Steve
well as usual everyone starts off with Kingfisher till fed up,most are drinking Tuborg, but in the day try a Kings mixed with Limca for a refreshing shandy
Never got on with kings. It tastes like my dad's old homebrew.
Looks like it's Tuborg for me then.
Can't be bad if it has lasted two seasons as the in vogue beer.
Still sunny here. It's giving us chance to see what clothes to bring out.
If it feels comfortable here it's too warm for there.
We will be there two weeks today!
Cheers Steve
Hello,dragon7,This our first time in Goa we fly out on the 15th.so Iam worried if we have the right cloths, sun cream, travel adaptors(PLUGS) ect , Danny my other half, was only worried about the beer and food,so he thanks you for that, typicle of him,and so roll on Friday. Dee and Danny
We like to go this time of the year because it's quiet.
It is very hot and humid though. As you will see on the last few posts we have been looking at what we are taking. Very light long trousers and shirts for night and not too tight fitting shirts and shorts for day. Jayne has a lot of maxi dresses that are cool and can be dressed up for evening.
Look for deals on suntan stuff as it can be as expensive out there for good ones.
Malaria tablets and odomos can be bought local.
My head caught the sun yesterday reminding me to look for a new hat.
I am sure others will post more info and we will all agree you will have a brilliant holiday.
Steve
Must say a good night was had by all and we even saw a excellent lightning display for about an hour followed by a little thunder and just a few drops of rain but most of us had chickened out by then and moved inside to preserve the celebratory semi alcoholic preparations from any inadvertent water contamination
On our way home we saw very little signs of rain until we reached Parra and Assagoa, so it seems the rain in Goa doesn't fall mainly upon the plain but it does persistantly pour down on the hills around Mapusa
nearly forgot Happy Birthday big boy
Happy birthday for yesterday dragon we share a birthday April 10th must be a good

Haven't been on for a while although I do keep up with some gossip on FB. Karaoke? Chilly? Is there no end to her talents? Thought you might enjoy this little story- comes under the category "it could only happen in India."
OH unexpectedly had to go on business to Delhi. He had to come home from offshore on a Thursday and was due to fly out out on Monday. Getting a business visa on Friday aged him by 10 years. Over £200 and do they really need every country he has been to? Can't even remember them all( was in merchant navy). I was so jealous. We only had one day in Delhi( and of course we spent some of that being movie stars- some of the oldies may remember )
Anyway- to the story. He turned up at a plush office for a meeting with about 8 others. In the corner- a local who looked like he had moved in as there seemed to be his life's belongings around him. He spent his day making coffee and offering everyone some "coppee".
OH couldn't help but ask the client about him. He said that he just turned up one day, made everyone coffee and made his home in the corner of the office. When he asked his office manager about the newcomer, she just shrugged and asked,"dont you want coffee?"
Talk about initiative
Hmmm yes Kareoke... ok you tell tale it was a right laugh though, never done it before, was meagain and Dragon07's fault... they forced me
Chilly
but a least you looked the part, more than can be said for the rest of the motley crew
So pleased I left the hearing aids at home that night... Pardon
Sorry chilly you were alright and a lot braver than me i just sang along from the table
love Jayne xxx
chilly
It's late in the evening; she's wondering what clothes to wear.
She puts on her make-up and brushes her long blonde hair.
And then she asks me, "Do I sound all right?"
And I say, "Yes, you sound wonderful tonight."
It is a very pleasant 30c in the shade of the terrace and we are waiting for the F1 coverage to start on Star Sports ...seems like a very good time for a small (ish) Campari with sparking soda and cracked ice, might even add a slice of orange and a dash of Gin
