Yes gemma as i was on the coffee i was dead sober too... hey yes the locals talk about it every time i go down that road!!! they loved it, but i agree dont think they knew what had hit them!!

A bit of info for anyone who has flown with Qatar to Goa this season! If you joined their frequent flier Privilege Club you will have earned enough Q points to reach the next level, Burgundy. This entitles you to an extra 10kgs of baggage on any Qatar flights in the next 12 months.
We just received our Burgundy cards in this mornings post so they will be put to good use in a few days time!!!!

It was a really nice touch when the stewardess introduced herself to all the card holders on board our flight too.
The Qmiles you earn can be traded in for duty free vouchers at Doha too so we will probably do that when we travel through there in March as it might take me forever to get a free flight.
I have noticed there is a very big increase in price on flights to Goa compared to when we booked them in July, it will be interesting to see what they are priced at for next season.Currently you can't book beyond November 2010.

hello its only meagain well not meagain its just meagain saying hello its meagain but i am not meagain,its the dragon its hot and overcast here,so happy new year to you all,from meagain no not him me 
hey it was a great meet tonight at the carvery ... everybody is in the new year celebratory mood i think 
it was great fun with lots of 'jollying'...it was good to meet Daveswife and Dave too ... a real laugh all night ..... loads of us HT'ers there again ... great time had by all i think .. looking forward to tomorrow night on the beach .. a good few of us will be there thats for sure....
... but the threes up on the bike home with Chris (chrisnalfie) was a bit hairy !!

The word on the street is you are trying to drink Goa dry before new year but I have a seceret supply of of Honey Bee that is mine, all mine and mine alone and no fiendish threats or intimadation from you would make me confess to storing it in Chilly's used coffee jars at the Carvery, so there and up yours, btw a very happy new year to you and your familly and all our readers.
Look forward to seeing you all early in the new year (which now sounds possible thanks to Fiona's info) and don't forget you owe me a very very large HB, can't remember why but I have a long time to think of a reason, so there and thats for me and not 'eragain

To be in sunny Goa now. To be surrounded by taxi drivers offering to drive me here there and everywhere. I am totally snowed in, a Goan tax driver would be there like a shot, offering to drive me here there and everywhere, pick up shopping etc. Can I find a taxi driver prepared to come and drive me 3 miles to town wait for me shopping and then return can I h***. Hope you are all having a great time out there

Just thought I would let you know that instead of sitting about and taking things easy on my birthday I started the day by making a sledge for my young grandson and was then dragged into the garden to try it out.
Since then we have built a snow man, tried to bury the dog and had a snowball fight which I won, I think he let me win or perhaps as he is only two an a half I had a bit of an advantage.
He is now fast asleep on the settee and I am having a large medicinal Honey Bee before doing the same.
I do hope we will be able to get back to Goa next week as I am worn out and need to defrost

arrived as the snow was starting.....
nearly went to the Departures..........
........ and hopped on the next plane back to Goa!!!!!

I couldn't stay away from Goa, as other destinations do not match Goa, not even close
We are planning our December 2010 holiday at the moment, as i have a few weeks off just before christmas, and it seems December is when bargains are to be found. Im not so sure if it is still true though, so i will have to have a closer look nearer the time. but we definetly will be back to Goa this year.
I was in a negative mood when we came back from Goa in Jan 2009, only because our hotel was on a main busy road
we much prefered the riverside guest house at the far end of baga, very quiet but still in easy reach of the beach.
