Im off to Tenerfie tonight, then when we're home we will start planning our Goa holiday, we are looking ar going around December time this year, before christmas.
Does anyone know when holidays officially become "late deals" is it 6 weeks before travel?
I think it is 8 weeks, but the companies differ i think! J
I think its 8 weeks. We have just booked a holiday this week and it was classed as a late deal.
Thanks. I'll leave the looking until next week then. Who did you book with and where / when are you going?
For a really good deal you need to leave it later still, maybe 2 weeks before you go or less. For that you need flexibility though !
Good luck in your search !
We are going away at Easter to Tunisia and unfortunetly I don't think there will be any late 2 week deals asmost flights seem to be booked up for anywhere remotely warm unless you want to go to Tenerife. We had a problem getting anything at a decent price. We booked through my niece at Global Holidays, she put the package together for us, flight with one company and hotel with another and arranged transfer. If you want her e-mail let me know and I will pm it to you. If you are thinking of going to Goa she is very good, she is Globals Goa expert and books flights for people who own hotels in Goa and who arrange the package for their own customers.
Hi booked a late deal on Tuesday leaving next Monday on a Nile cruise, £699 holiday down to £379 that
nice one well done ! J

goa in april when should i get visa and whats the temp thanks
It is very humid in April, you definately need aircon. We went at Easter for the first 8 trips to Goa but now go Xmas and New Year. We coped okay as we didn't know any different and it wouldn't put me off going at that time of the year again. We usually apply for the visa at least a month before we travel. Have a great time.
Hi we are going to Goa in April and I applied for our Visas last week, (just incase of any delays)
What's happened the Monarch flight from Gatwick tonight? Jan 30th. It's just not showing up on the gatwick website?
Fizz
Thanks, fizzy. I do wish the airlines would leave delayed flights on the airport website - it's very useful for holidaymakers who haven't booked a package and therefore don't have a rep to advise them when at the resort. I always check to see what time the flight we're getting home has left Gatwick before setting off to the airport. Has saved me quite a few 'wasted' journeys over the years.
The delayed Monarch flight was due to it being late into Gatwick after having an unscheduled stop to drop off a sick passenger. The crew were apparently out of flying hours.
djk, I know where you're coming from as I have been in the same position, luckily friends of mine were staying in Candolim and had a rep so not only did they inform me of the delay but so did my husband by text as he also checks the flights on the internet There is nothing worse than having to get up mega early only to have a wasted journey and a long wait at the airport - particularly Dabolim
