We visited Keswick and Kendal and drove around the lakes etc
http://www.ravenglass-railway.co.uk/index.html and http://www.northernrail.org/offers/daysout/Ravenglass+and+Eskdale+Railway and click the Prices tab, it shows the inclusive fare from Grange.
From the Dalegarth terminus there is an interesting walk to some waterfalls which some kind person has recorded in photos at http://www.urban75.org/photos/lake-district/dalegarth-lake-district-walk.html
Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway? You can either drive there or go all the way by train. see From the Dalegarth terminus there is an interesting walk to some waterfalls which some kind person has recorded in photos at http://www.urban75.org/photos/lake-district/dalegarth-lake-district-walk.html
We visited Ducky's Farm Park, Lakeland Miniature Village, The Dock Museum. The chocolate shop in Grange-Over-Sands was gorgeous and had the best Thunder and Lightening Ice cream. The Pheasant Inn gets huge thumbs up from us for a meal and friendly atmosphere.
They have a chocolate shop there now? How did I miss that
LOL Tarry it was the first thing our chocaholic daughter noticed
I must have been in a daze, I love chocolate
