Hi guys,
End of August myself and my boyfriend who are both 36 and my daughter who is 13 (going on 22) are going to a beatuiful villa in Guime which apparently is in a small quiet village just outside peurto del carmen. (about 10 mins drive away)
We will prob spend most of our time in the pool as Lanzarote is so hot hot hot!! but would like a few suggestions on really good evenings out, we will be having car hire but will prob get a taxi so we can both have a drink or 2 !
is Peurto del carmen a great night out? ive heard they have casinos and many restaurants and pubs etc, but we kinda wanted a good party atmosphere place to go (not too over the top) that would accept our daughter into the venue. (who is 13) (please not karaoke though lol i hate it!)
I went to Playa Blanca myself a few years back and found it really boring as it was like a retirement place very quiet not much happening.
Now my friends are saying to go to peurto del carmen for "everything you need"
If the "lanzarote wise amongst you" could pleae give me the most important bits of info i need i would very much appreciate it thankyou they are..
(1) The best canarian market to go to - Ive heard they hold one in Teguise weekly? My daughter loves haggling!!!
(2) Is there a decent waterpark in Lanza?" if so where is it lol
(3) I went on the Timanfaya trip in playa blanca but found the coach trip far too hot and uncomfortable, could we drive this trip in our hire car and get to ride on the camels?
(4) also any info on the volcano restaurant opening times etc
(5) Any other "must see" excursions that we would enjoy as a family
(6) Can we smoke in bars and stuff in Lanaza or have they got the rule we have now?
(7) Most importantly is there some kind of carnival "fiesta" going on between August 28th and September 7th thanks
Sorry i know its a lot to ask but i just want a fun packed time,
like spend one day in the villa and go out the next day etc..
Thanks to all who read this and extra thankyou to those of you who take the time to reply =)
Hope u all have great holidays xx

Re taking taxis. The only problem I see, is that you will have to call a taxi to come and collect you from Guime if you don't want to drive. Perhaps you could learn a few sentences in spanish before you get here, so you can call one? Or ask your property manager if they would be able to do this for you?
Have a lovely holiday!!
That's great help thankyou
