We have just come back. We upgraded from a kids den to a swim-up room directly with the hotel.
We are 2 adults and 2 children and first choice only offer a maximum of 3 people to a swim-up room - not sure why as we had ours beds, 2 kids bed (camp-beds but perfectly comfortable) and they gave us a cot as well. We also had a sofa and a table, and there was still lots of room
The only way to do it is to book standard rooms and then email the hotel to request an upgrade (I think they charge about £20 per night). They can only do this within 2 days of arrival as it is based on availability within the first choice allocation, so it is a risk..
A couple of tips if you do book a swim-up room: if you want a double bed ask for one (we had 2 singles and the kids jumped into bed with us in the morning and slip down the middle). If you want a non-smoking room ask for one - we had a smoker next door and it comes through the vents.
Me, My Husband and 3 Kids are booked to go on the 23rd Oct for 2 weeks, I'm not sure if I should pack some warmer clothes for the evenings as I hear it can get alot cooler this time of year?. Is this true and how much cooler will it be!!! Would be great to have some advice. Thank you
Anyway im hoping someone may have an idea of the block number. They faced the main big (colder) pool and were part of two blocks that mirrored each other but were on an angle. As they faced the pool you could also see the beach from them as no other blocks were in the way.
as i said proberly way too confusing but worth a try
Hi clare 75 with regards to weather at night in october. WE were there in November last year and are going back this year, i did not even need a cardigan at night and I feel the cold. It was slightly breezy some nights but even then was not cold, probably because you had so much sun on you during the day it was nice to feel wee bit cooler, certainly not cold. Enjoy!
Hi Elise 2000 I think the rooms you are looking for are the 3000 cant remember exact no think we were 3020 It was a jaccuzi select room and we overlooked big cold pool and behind us was a walk way down to beach (with big wall behind that).
What are the jacuzzi selct rooms?
i think its blocks 22 you want, here is a link to a map of holiday village

jacuzzi select rooms, were very large with king size bed, robes and slippers and a jacuzzi on our balcony, which was nice although dark at night and wee bit cool, but we thoroughly enjoyed it. You can also get a select room without the jacuzzi which was probably what I would go for. Hope this helps :
Elize i dont think we were in the block you were talking about but we had room3208 and the views were of the main pool and N/E out to sea. Missing the place already, only 349 more days to go until our return
Thanks for your reply Mccabeliz, only 3 mores sleeps till we go!! think Im more excited than the kids!!!
11 more days then we're off ......

Sorry Smartie i don't know , we just tend to make the most of the AI and don't really explore the area..and before anyone critisises,we go away 2,3,4 time a year and always have a car and go Self catering, eat out and explore the area however our OCT/Nov holiday is purely for the sun and sea
Thanks anyway spurry. Could you please tell where blocks 5 and 6 are in relation to everyting else, much appreciated.

It's your holiday spurry you are entitled to do as much or as little as you like so please don't feel that you have to justify yourself in any way.
Graham
PS don't anybody even think about it
Not too sure about block numbers, but even though it's a big complex you're never too far away from the central reception/restaraunt area, and even if you find yourself at the furthest point away the walk through the gardens is superb, so much colour and butterflies everywhere(well they were last year anyway)
We're thinking of booking the HV Red Sea for next year as we went to the one in Cyprus this year and had a great time. There doesn't seem to be much of a description of the rooms on the website though, just standard room, select room and junior suite. Can anyone help here, is there much difference as to location, facilities etc? Do all the rooms have a separate living area or just the junior suites?
Just returned from our second stay at the HV and once again it was fantastic , i have submitted a review but as of yet it's not on the board.
Welcome back spurry glad to hear you had a good time once again at the HV, your review will appear shortly
just approved it Great review- very detailed and helpful. Glad you enjoyed your holiday
