Louise I'm sure if they have swim up rooms available they will accomodate you.
You will have a great time, just make sure you drink loads of water and keep taking breaks in the shade and if you do get any cramps nip out of the hotel and walk right to the Laguna Vista shopping centre and the pharmacy will sort you out and he is cheap as well.
We are going in October (2adults and 2children) is it still warm in the evenings, as was wondering about taking jumpers etc.
Getting excited now cant wait to go!!!
We have had a friend come back from a different hotel but in the same resort. they have all had bad tummies, she had a lovely time but did think it was to do with the heat & getting use to a different amount of water to what she would normally drink.
I'm not worried, just can't wait.
we go to hv on thursday from gatwick, just got our suitcases down from the loft now i`m getting excited
has anyone stayed in the kids den rooms? can you tell me how big the bunk beds are? are they the normal length or shorter? was thinking of upgrading but my son is very tall for his age and he would have to sleep on the top bunk
only 5 more sleeps thanks
justine
I have got to go and buy new suitcases!....they are now too small for my little girl who has so many new clothes to take! p.s just emailed you.
looking forward to the holiday now...
Hi Runmeg
Glad you had a good time... can you tell me what the dress code is?! i.e ok for vests and shorts in the evenings..I am really trying my hardest not to over pack!
Did you and your family have ice in your drinks etc.
Joanne
My hubby wore shorts and t shirts in the evening, no need for long trousers, I also wore mainly shorts and vest tops in the evenings, did take one pair of long linen trousers but it was so hot I regretted taking them.
We did have ice in the drinks towards the end of the holiday and suffered no ill effects.
The only thing we did avoid was the salads to be honest.............Husband ate the meat all the time and not once was any of it under cooked.
renmeg, do you not need to get dressed up for dinner then? I was taking linen pants....
We went to the Al a Carte's as well and I wore shorts and vest tops.
I took mainly shorts and some three quarter linen trousers and vest tops, Husband took all shorts and one pair of three quarter trousers just in case but he didn't need them to get into the main resturant or the Al a Cartes
Jo
No prob's............sorry I just put your packing into a spin though.
Does anyone know whether you can pay for deposits at the hotel for towels etc on credit card or whether you need cash???
In Spain last your you needed cash in Euros which you would get returned on last day of holiday - not much good to us then!!! We also had to pay for stagecoach in cash when we had expected to use credit cards. It left us a little short! So want to be fully prepared this year!
I'm dusting off the bikinis as we speak!
Lisa
Crikey!!! You have to pay a deposit for the towels?? This is news to me.. I've been to many AI's, all in the Caribbean, and you were just handed the towel cards when you checked in. If you didnt have the right number of cards to hand back on check out, then you were charged. Isnt this how the HV works too??
You don't need to pay deposits for towels - on arrival you are given cards ( for each guest ) that you then take to the pool guys for towels, at the end of your holiday you take the cards back to the reception.
If I remember right the cost is 70 Egyptian pounds ( £7 ) if you lose a towel.
Paid for activities in cash so can't comment on credit cards but I would be very surprised if these aren't accepted

flying out from bristol thurs aug 28th cant wait !
just a few questions do they have a games room for the kids ? if so do they need pound coins ? what is
there ? havin vistied the hv in turkey i know there was bowling and various other electronic games to keep them amused.
this may have been asked, but how far are we from narma bay ? is it easier to go by bus or taxi?
like hv turkey does the a/c only work when room card is placed in slot or is there a switch to keep it on all day? i know at hv turkey you could purchase another card for £10(refundable at end of hols) and leave that in the key solt all day.
thanks....
It seemed to fire up quite qucikly anyway although it wasn;t as hot as I expect Egypt to be.....
Welcome back runmeg glad you had a good time
Good news - I heard back from the hotel & they don't take deposits for towels etc.....
